I purchased this tv on the basis of its specifications and price, and reviews I've read about haier televisions in general online. Haier in general might not be too bad, but DO NOT BUY THIS TV!!! It was one of the most frustrating experiences I've ever had. The buttons on the remote did not perform their function, so it was impossible to set up the TV or even use the DVD player. Eventually using the side buttons I got a DVD in, but then could not remove it. I called Best Buy and they told me to take it to the nearest store to return it, and for some reason the computer wouldn't let them, so it took an hour to get the return finished. Buying this is a waste of time, money and energy.

I didn't have any issues with this TV. I was a little nervous because it was listed as "refurbished," but it was just like new. Great picture for video gaming. No problems with set-up, no problems with the remote, no problems at all!
