Beware of Refurbished
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.We needed to replace our old dehumidifier..so when I saw this Haier at Best Buy refurbished at a much lower price I bought it. We have had good luck in the past with refurbished products, so there was no worry...until now. The unit itself is designed good, but it was a dud right out of the box. Tried it for several days....sounded like it was working, but it never gave a drop of moisture in the bucket. Tried turning the unit off for awhile and restarting....still nothing. Even the owners manual troubleshooting guide had no cure. Haier needs to test their products before re-selling them as working units.

Did not work!

I let it run for a few hours . . in a humid room . . . . .yet not even a hint of water. It did not work at all. They clearly did not test this. What a joke.!
