While not as much hilarity as expected with this all-star cast, it was still a great comedy, as only the Coen Brothers can do.

This movie reminded me a bit of Trumbo but in slick, sly comedic way when movies were in their hey day. A nice Coen brothers movie.

C'mon, it's the Cohen Bros. Their mastery of the craft of filmmaking is on full display in this loving homage to films created by the Hollywood studio system. It's a quick-moving comedy, with Hobie Doyle (Alden Ehrenreich) stealing every scene he's in. Aside from being an enjoyable comedy and commentary on the Red Scare of the 1950's, it's got plenty of philosophical religious subtext if you're looking for it.

The Coen's have made amazing films over the years - but they all have the same problem - they don't really have a conclusion, they just sort of end. That having been said, I enjoyed the period setting, and the old school film look. Also, ScarJo has an awesome part/accent!

Fairly entertaining. LOTS of stars. The writing could have been better, but I think they got what they were aiming for.. cheesy, corny period movie. Not upset about missing this on the big screen, so glad it went on sale the 2nd week out. Price match. Oh yeah, Scarlett J!

For the most part it was funny and entertaining. A little slow to get to the next scene but once there, it was worth the wait.

This movie has a lot of glaring problems, the story feels rushed. I love the weirder side of the Coens, Raising Arizona is one of my favorite movies of all time. The acting is great, the visual are fantastic but where it really fails is the structure and the script.

This movie about the Hollywood movie system and is funny especially if you like movies about how movies got made back then.

I think it was the ads and trailers that mis-set my expectations for this movie so my first viewing in the theater left me a little disappointed. But, like some of their other films, upon revisiting the movie with appropriately set expectations, I found a lot more to enjoy and noticed more layers to the movie. I'm excited to revisit this again and I'm sure additional viewings will be rewarded.

This falls on the light end of the Coen Brothers movies. The ideas are there, but it never feels deep. Good for a matinee.

Reminds me of a zany noises of type comedy. Solid performances by George clooney and Scarlett johanson carry the film.

The Coen brothers never do it wrong. Another hilarious movie to add to their extensive collection. My family loved it.

"Hail, Caesar!" delivers on mystery, drama & comic relief with a star studded cast of A-list actors/actresses. Josh Brolin plays "Eddie Mannix", a character responsible for keeping Hollywood running smoothly, with his biggest dilemma being to recover kidnapped lead actor, Baird Whitlock before the play. Smartly written and directed, "Hail Ceasar" is a unique treat for movie lovers

not the best coen brothers film, but worth it. my wife, who is very picky, actually really enjoys their films.

Very memorable performances. It wasn't their best film but definitely worth a view and add to any collection.

If you love the Cohen Brothers quirky films then this is a no brainer. They manage to spoof and pay homage to Hollywood's Golden Age at the same time. Some of the screen time is short for most of the actors, but that's because there's a lot to go around. Great performance by George Clooney, who seems to excel at playing "clueless" characters for the Cohens.

if you are a fan of the directors, you'll like this movie. excellent performances by all the actors
