Good for someone who has never picked up a guitar.

The product is good if you have never played anything. The problem is that it only helps with the fingerings for the key of G.

while my grand-daughter is totally happy with being able to learn, it is disappointing to me the lack of keys you can learn in.

Wanted it to work so badly...

I first saw this product on Shark Tank and thought it was a brilliant idea. As an aspiring guitar player who has given up many times because my fingers can't seem to play chords quickly and accurately with ease, I decided to invest in it. Unfortunately, the Chord Buddy did not work as well as I expected. After I installed it (and checked to make sure it was correct many times), the colored buttons did not play the strings very well (quite a few of the rubber "booties" did not press hard enough on the strings to be played correctly, resulting in a poorly-sounding strum). Because I wanted so badly for it to work, I even emailed the Chord Buddy producers who sent me what were supposed to be different-sized rubber booties to press the strings better. These, however, did not help at all, much to my dismay.
All in all, I think this was a brilliant idea. However, upon execution, the product fell flat of expectations. Perhaps CB will get similar reviews and redesign the product, at which point I would be more than happy to give it another shot. But until then, I must return my Chord Buddy and go back to painfully trying to get my fingers to play guitar!

Got this for our daughter-in-law and she loves it. She started to learn to play the guitar and has said this really helps.

From a beginners perspective. This is a great tool. Easy to attach (if you pay attention to their instructions). Never played a day in my life. 30 minutes later strumming away and singing tunes with my kids. I know I have a long way to go but it definitely helps beginners.

I have a Fender and it won't stay on . I have to keep typing irrelevant info as you must have 50 characters for review to qualify. Cheap plastic clip , totally unimpressed.

I wish I would have read that it can only be used on a certain size guitar; we just needed to find one that fit.
