I bought this and recieved a dented steelbook, I had to track down a copy from a different state and have it sent to my local best buy to replace! So if you can find these grab them they're are going quick and fetching a premium online! Did I mention Danny McBride the Comedy Genius has some directing skill on this along with John Carpenter. This effectively is a sequel to the original also directed by Carpenter, which replaces all of the other sequels. Very Cool!

The Halloween franchise is a messy one, with a variety of continuities. It’s almost like a choose-your-path mythology! This latest Halloween bypasses all other sequels entirely. Therefore, Laurie Strode is not the sister to Michael Myers, H20 never happened, and is not related at all to the Rob Zombie films. However, it is a good movie and a worthy followup to the original movie! The blu-ray is of great quality, and worth checking out.

Nothing can compare to the the original Halloween (1978). This 2018 sequel does an excellent job of staying tru to the original. Halloween fans will recognize several Easter eggs, which pay homage to several of the Halloween sequels. Jamie Lee Curtis is at her best in this Halloween, playing the broken Laurie Strode, certain that Michael Meyers will return some day. This is a definite improvement on most of the previous Halloween sequels.

Jamie Lee Curtis returns to Halloween and she and the movie are awesome. The movie takes place 40 years after the original film and ignores every sequel. Laurie is still dealing with many issues with what happened to her. She takes a very pro active approach to Michael this time. She knew he would eventually return, even though no else believes her or that. This movie is more gruesome than the original but not overly so. Very good movie and highly recommended.

The "Halloween" series has been around for ever, and with the exception of Halloween 3, they all have been very good. This last one continues on, gives some more back drop explanation about Michael and the history of the series, and has good action and suspense. I was very satisfied with it, and the ending is such that the series can end on a high note of having been a very good series or they can try to continue it but with a new start and direction. I have loved these movies, but in a way I hope this is the last because any more might be too much, but we shall see.

As many people may be confused, this Halloween movie is a direct single sequel to the original 1978 Halloween movie, ignoring all other movies in the franchise. This is a reimagining, a sequel reboot (if you will), and plays out perfectly. Halloween (2018) is both nostalgic and renewed, with Jamie Lee Curtis reprising her role of Laurie Strode 40 years later. This movie could be considered the best sequel of the franchise.

Halloween in my opinion has some of the worst sequels ever made. With Halloween 2, H20 and now Halloween 2018 as exemptions. This new take on the Halloween franchise is one I really enjoyed. Where H20 was a good sequel to 2, this film is a good follow up to the original film. With fun nods to the pervious films, this new breath of fresh air to the franchise makes me excited to see what happens next!

Forget all the sequels (and the Rob Zombie films)! This is the Halloween 2 you’ve been waiting for. Michael Myers is back for one last (yeah, right) Halloween. 40 years after the events of the original, Michael is put on a collision course with the “one that got away, Laurie Strode. Played by Jamie Lee Curtis once again, this time she’s truly ready for him. The 4K picture and DTS X sound are reference quality on this.

I've never really been a big fan of the Halloween franchise. I bought the collection a few months back hoping to get into it, but it never really happened. I disliked each one more than the last. This one is different though, it retcons the continuity of all the previous sequels (and for good reason, too!) and starts fresh. I definitely recommend watching it at least once, you won't be disappointed with this one!

After years not on the sliver screen Michael Myers and Halloween is back in a big way know this one ignores every Halloween movie besides the original one and Michael and Lorie are not brother and sister no more but besides all that this is a really good movie and the ending left you with a Cliff hanger wanting more so I can't wait for the next one but this one Halloween returns in a very big way.

This is the Halloween movie we should have seen a long time ago. Thankfully they finally got to it, and it is far better than anything that came after Halloween 5. Oh, and 3 doesn't even count! They have really breathed new life into this series, and can possibly get another one or two films out of this remake. I just hope they don't let Rob Zombie do it. His movies were more of a re-imagining of the story.

First and foremost, it was great to find the movie in a section of the store that was alphabetical. Thank you for this because I cannot stand when movie titles are out of order. now on to the movie. If you're a fan of the Orginal Halloween movie than this movie will be the one you will want to see. The Rob Zombie remake is great, but this one continues the original story that fits in today's world.

Forgoing all of the previous sequels, Halloween (2018) works as a straight follow up to Carpenter’s masterful original. David Gordon Greene went back to basics and made The Shape relentless and a mystery rather than explain him away or give him purpose. Michael Myers simply just is, and that’s all we need. Jamie Lee Curtis’s Laurie Strode is a survivalist who has used her trauma to make herself stronger and to make herself ready for Michael’s inevitable return. Halloween (2018) works because it plays everything natural and simple.

Steel book image could've been way better. The steel book image looks a bit cartoonish. The original Blu-ray cover made into a steel book would have been better. The movie takes place 40 years after the first Halloween. So all the other Halloween movies have vanished just FYI! This Halloween is about Laurie Strode surviving the attack of his brother Michael Myers that happened 40 years ago. Michael escapes an institution and starts to hunt for her sister Laurie Strode. But, this time Laurie is ready for him or is she?

I love Halloween 2018. It is my favorite movie, apart from the 1978 original. Jamie Lee Curtis & Judy Greer are awesome, and the newcoming actress who played Alyson was awesome too (she looks so much like Judith Myers). Basically, all of the cast was great, Dr. Sartain too. Horror fans won’t be disappointed with his sequel, set 40 years after the original. Myers is as brutal as ever with kills

Michael Myers is alive and better than ever! I can easily tell the difference in sound and color between seeing it in theaters and 4k. Everything looks fantastic! My only gripe is the lack of detailed special features. Everything on it aside from the deleted scenes felt rushed. Guess that's what you get when they 3 month rush it to shelves. Still, its a worthy addition to the collection!

Excellent installment in the Halloween franchise acting as a direct sequel to the original. David Gordon Green does a great job directing paying so much love and respect to the original. Jamie Lee Curtis's is amazing returning to her iconic role as Laurie Strode. This is the best Halloween since the original and I cannot wait to watch them back to back every Halloween for years to come.

The transfer on this blu ray is spot on!! Who would have thought that we'd be getting a great sequel to Halloween 40 years later? This movie is one of my favorites in the Halloween franchise and have watched more than once since the movie was released. The only gripe I have about this blu ray is that it is very light on extras. It would have been a big plus if we had an paudio commentary by the director and writers. Well, you can't have everything but this blu ray is well worth the purchase!
