The sequel to one of the greatest horror movies ever made still holds up after all these years, the movie picks up right after the last scene in the first Halloween as Michael Myers continues to terrorize his home town on All Hallows' Eve. The setting shifts from the town to the hospital were Jamie Lee Curtis character is being held and the body count continues to climb. There were many sequels that came after this one and I will say you can skip them all accept for Halloween 20(or H20 as it is called) This movie set the tone for a lot of the slash and gore of other horror franchises that came later. Even the remakes by Rob Zombie don't hold a candle to the original and this sequel. Be warned you will never listen to the song "Mr. Sandman" by The Chordettes with innocence ever again.

This is a big improvement over the last 4k release, highly recommended!

Not that there is anything wrong with this release, as the picture and sound are good, but there is a better bluray for Halloween II, made by Scream Factory, out there. However, this particular version has an almost feature length documentary called Terror in the Aisles host by Dr. Loomis himself, yes Donald Pleasance, that came out sometime in the mid 80s. It's very entertaining and was never released on dvd in the US, as far as I know, so this is the only way to see it unless you happen to still have a vcr lying around. Either way, this 30th Anniversary edition is always cheap and easy to find around Halloween and the doc is worth the price alone.

This was a great buy. I am a huge Halloween fan and I already had the movie on dvd. I bought this blu ray and was pleasantly surprised. There are two discs- the R rated version and the television copy-However in my area they use the r rated version and edit for tv with a few surprises at the end. On the television disc it has different dialogue in some of the scenes, added scenes, alternate ending and more. I loved this purchase!
