Great game, great price, great graphicas , I recommend it 100 %

I admit it, I was never a big fan of the Halo series. However, I had friends that were fans so I always wound up in multiplayer matches and knew my way around the controls. The single player campaign was never appealing to me, and the multiplayer was something I was more or less forced to play by my friends. With that somewhat negative background for the game, I still bought a copy of this game so that I'd have something to play with my fiancee that she enjoyed. And much to my surprise, I kind of liked the campaign. Now, that's not to say that I think all of the hype is warranted; not by a long shot. There are some truly evil checkpoint placements in the game, often stranding you with very little ammo, health, or both to finish up a firefight. Some levels or segments are incredibly annoying *cough Library cough* and there's a general feeling of predictability in the game; I always seemed to guess where the "dead body ammo dump" (as I called them) locations would be. The story is also pretty uninteresting, turning into a bland sci-fi zombie story about halfway through. That said, they did cram some impressive size and scale into some of the areas, and switching between old and new graphics on the fly is a nice touch in this version of the game. Co-op is also a lot more fun than competitive multiplayer, which is how I've played most of the time now. And the controls are definitely solid, if unspectacular. Which pretty much sums up how I feel about the game as a whole. Good enough, but nothing special.

This game quickly became my favorite game on the Xbox 360! I think the aliens in the game are a little goofy though, but the flood are really creepy looking in the original graphics. For my first play through I strictly stuck to the original game and soundtrack for a more honest first look at Halo: Combat Evolved. While the updated graphics look prettier and environments look more full I found that changing the way the flood looked actually made them a little less terrifying. As far as the sound track goes it quickly became one of my favorite game soundtracks which I had to get for myself, yes its that good. Gameplay was a little rough for me at first because the button layout isn't the usual FPS layout but I was able to adjust quickly. Well I say thats good for my review. In conclusion, the graphics are good (being able to switch from the original to the updated graphics on the fly is pretty interesting), soundtrack is amazing, and gameplay might be a little rough at first but is solid. Buy this game!!

Playing this just five minutes brought me back to the first day I played Halo. And it's still just as fun! The graphics, voiceovers, and musical score have ask been remastered and it's beautiful. And the added XBOX Live multiplayer is the cherry on top.

This game was one that defined the genre. HALO blended a great storyline with amazing gameplay and brought the 1st person shooter to the next level. Graphically updated with a fresh soundtrack, this is a must-own!

Campaign is as awesome as the first time and while the multiplayer is just adapted from the most recent halo multiplayer, it's still pretty fun. They did their best to give it the feel of the original halo

Remastered graphics complement the original surround sound score of one of the best first person shooters for consoles ever made - if not THE best! If you've never experienced the original story of Master Chief there isn't a better version than this XBOX 360 Anniversary release which has really up the graphics and resolution a decade after the original release. One of the first FPS to introduce playable vehicles which you can control along with your co-op friend or solo. Bungie seminal classic brought to life for a new generation!

I wanted to replay the old halo from my original xbox days and this was just what I was looking for. It has updated graphics which aren't really spectacular by today's games standard but still a huge leap for the original. The game play is exactly the same with the expection of a few added collectables such as skulls and terminals and they allow you to switch back and forth between classic graphic and remastered ones mid gameplay which is cool. The only down side is that the save system is still a little messed up. If you forget the quit out of the game and return to the main menu you will most likely lose all the save progress during that session which can be pretty frustrating. But other than that it is still a great classic game.

I always liked halo. It is still one of my favorite games. Also great price for the game.

I really enjoy the game play with Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary - Xbox 360. I actually played Halo: Reach first even though it came after the original Halo. I liked Halo Reach a lot and like Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary - Xbox 360 every bit as much. Not an easy game, but that makes it fun to play.

Anyone who played the original Halo title will certainly enjoy this re-mastered version. Was a little disappointed that the original multiplayer wasn't as intact as I thought it would be, but otherwise a great title. For anyone who hasn't played it, strongly recommended to appreciate where it all started.

This is definitely worth the $15 to $20 you'll pay to purchase this updated game. Has new cutscenes and the graphics are so much better than what we remembered them to be. You can actually play in 'original' mode but it's so frustrating and the lighting is very dark.

bought the classic to see if it would be OK for my son. It is better - a LOT better for him than Call of Duty which he is not allowed to play. but the campaign does have a few cuss words. s###. d###. son of a b####. but barely, no an every other word like COD.

Replaying this was like traveling back in time and reliving all of my favorite memories! Updated graphics, multi-player, enemies, and cut scenes make the game more alive than ever. I would highly recommend this game for everyone!

It is amazing to play the anniversary edition, the ability to change between old Halo graphics and new Halo graphics during the same game is extraordinary and I simply loved playing a classic that I already knew with a much better resolution.

i have never officially owned the Halo: CE game but I have played it at a friends place when I was younger. This is definitely a classic with the option of switching old original Xbox graphics to an updated Xbox 360 style.

I finally upgraded my original Xbox for an Xbox 360 (deeply discounted) and decided to start off by playing this game. It's the same campaign, but the new graphics are amazing! So far, I'm loving it!

Halo, a household/popular name for all the XBOX consoles.If you haven't played the original or played it on a newer console its worth checking out especially for the price.

Bought this to play with my wife's younger brother. Had a ton of fun with it when I was his age, and now getting to enjoy it again. Definitely recommend!

It's been awhile since I played this game on the original Xbox console, graphics upgrade is very good on the 360. Still a great game.
