This is an excellent movie with solid acting. You don't need to be a HALO fan to enjoy it. It has a few parts that could have been thought out better. Some things will have you thinking "huh?" But for the most part, it's worth the $10 (bluray). Unlike the very bad "Halo the fall of reach" movie, this one was given some serious TLC. And unlike the so-so acting in the "Forward unto dawn" movie, this one has good acting. Don't think about it just buy it. You won't be disappointed. Don't expect a Disney production type thing though, because that it is not. Just think mid level budget and you will be very satisfied.

For Halo fans I would think you have seen this already. Access was granted with purchase of the Master Chief Collection. If you didn't buy that or want the episodes all put together (much easier to watch) then this is a great pick up. If you haven't seen it or aren't a Halo fan, then this is a good sci-fi movie. Chances are you will be lost with some of what you are seeing if you don't know the Halo series of games. Still worth a watch.

Every dollar of the production costs shows up on screen. Not quite sure about this interpretation of the Lekgolo (the worms that make up the massive Hunters that Halo fans know so well), but they're a decent-enough threat. Locke is an interesting character, and I'm anticipating his interactions with Master Chief in Halo 5. Also, it seems as though this one is a good deal ahead of most theatrical films in terms of special features.

This is a very good movie. There could have had more character development but it was still a good story. I would like to have known about the aliens and the internal struggles of each member of the excursion group. Well, every movie comes down to audience members being able to relate to the characters that are depicted onscreen. In truth, they did a pretty good job but it could have been a superb movie.

When buying the movie initially I thought another Halo movie??! Must have some awesome action sequences, but I was wrong. The movie is more about what man will do when faced with incredible odds against you and the fallacies of man when faced with the fact that not all will survive. I recommend the movie for sure, but do not expect giant shootouts with the covenant, this is not that movie.

I'm not familiar with Halo but I enjoyed the first Halo movie (Forward Unto Dawn) so I wanted to see this one too. I didn't enjoy this movie as much as I enjoyed the first movie. It was just okay. It just seemed like an average movie about a group of stereotypical soldiers going in to blow something up, something goes wrong so it becomes a survival movie and then the soldiers turn on each other and well, you can guess the rest. I was also interested in seeing Mike Colter because he is supposed to be staring in the upcoming Luke Cage Power Man TV show. I think he will make a good Luke Cage based on this movie.

When buying the movie, remember that it is a video game movie based in the Halo universe. With that being said this is a decent movie that is quite interesting to watch and adds to the Halo universe story line. Not a five star movie, but definitely worth picking up if able to catch it on sale.

Nightfall is a decent watch. The storyline starts one way and then completely changes direction. What I thought had a lot more potential was the bomb and potential destruction of humanity in the outer colonies. Instead they focus on the element it is made from and destroying it. The movie shifts gear at this point and becomes a race against the clock suspense thriller. The one innovative plot device was the hunter worms, and how we see them as a entirely different threat then they had been in the past. Overall Nightfall is worth a watch but not necessarily a full retail purchase.

Film was backed by Microsoft, the whole thing ties together well with the Xbox game. Quality of the film and audio is HQ. There is a story line that matches up with the "Halo" world. For the most part, the movie can be a stand alone story.

At it's best, it's a cheap Pitch Black knock off with Prometheus elements. At it's worst, it's like one of the corny X Files episodes from the later seasons. None of these things are bad. Way better than anticipated.

It started out great. Good visuals and CGI of a drop ship at the beginning. Then the pace slowed down. It then became a rehash of every SciFi flick already out there. I thought for a second I was watching the Matrix Reloaded movie again - the aliens were just as similar behaving to the Sentinels . Just good guys fighting bad aliens, the head guy sacrifices his life for the rest, etc. Nothing new in this movie. Still worth watching.

The second Halo Universe based Sci-fi film with very good special effects and a major studio budget. Good acting by the main characters and plenty of action! A must have for the Sci-fi genre fan!

Solid story, some areas could be expanded but the bonus videos fill in the gaps well. Very Pitch Black meets Halo games which is a good thing, though cg in spots is not as solid in areas the story holds its place well. Now the suits, ships, and look/designs are wonderful right out the the game world and into real life. We see what happens to the original Halo and also the start of future hero's in the game world. Bonus features are packed with concepts, behind the scenes, and even some very cool hints at the future of Halo. I recommend this to any fan.

This Movie came off the Web, but was done as well as anything out there. Good story, well done plot. It's Halo what can I say....Fan.

Nice story with a connection to the halo ring. But some of the movements by the elite and other aliens could have been better. But over all it was alright and enjoyable.

I picked this movie up for my 10 year old son, loves Halo, this movie is good if you are a fan of Halo, I think any young boy or dad will enjoy this movie.

Obviously this movie fits in within the greater Halo universe, but sometimes one does not need any knowledge or appreciation of a franchise to enjoy parts of it. While I am a fan of the games, I cannot imagine someone who is not getting much out of this movie. If you like the Halo games and other Halo movies, you will probably like this.

This movie was Ok in my opinion. I had seen the movie or episodes of the Halo stuff that was out before this one. I thought that it was going to be a continuation of them. Turns out it's not. All different characters which Disappointed me. Otherwise it was done pretty much the same but with some better effects.

In a race to get off the Halo segment, and destroy the new element, one member of the team may have to make a final sacrifice.

Good movie overall. More horror focused than previous ones. Loved the locales you visit in it. Definitely for any Halo fan.
