Reach definitely has it's pros and conns but some of the pros are the campaign, which is really good, and caught up with the series. The online multiplayer is pretty good, although the server could be a tad bit faster. Also I like that you can access the theater and look at how you can improve your gameplay and make your gaming scores higher. There are not very many cons to this game although I do not play it as much as COD games I still play Reach and ODST a lot and they definitely stand up to the competition!! Great game!!

This game, as countless others have stated, is the perfect culmination of every Halo game made. It has the great gameplay, story, visuals, audio (really amazing stuff), and that overall sheen of awesome that every great game has. I love how they add the viceral feel back as the guns in Halo 3, while awesome, just didn't kick enough. I know it makes sense as the MC is a Spartan with the strength of a tank, and in reality there wouldn't be any recoil. But, I loved the kick the weapons in Halo 2 gave and I'm glad to see it back. The explosions are the best they've ever been, with dirt flying all over from a grenade explosion, replete with the ringing in your ears if your were too close. I love the *OOMF!!* sound they make. Really feels like a punch to the gut on a nice surround sound system. The bigger explosions have way more sparks and flares as the particle engine is much more powerful now. Also, the Covenant dropships sound a lot louder and scarier this time. Everything seems so much more immersive this time, with fewer jaggies than Halo 3 and a more epic soundtrack.

Having beaten all games in the halo franchise multiple times as well as being an active part in the Halo community throughout the entire length of the series, I believe myself to be somewhat of an authority on the franchise. Beyond this, I have read every article about Halo: Reach released by Bungie as well as many previews of the game. Having done my research (unlike other reviewers that will remain unnamed) it is clear that Halo: Reach will be radically different than any game of the main trilogy. Bungie is changing many aspects of the game that will change the style of gameplay in multiplayer, while still maintaining the core that has resulted in this being one of the most beloved franchises of all time. Beyond this, the quality of game that you are receiving when purchasing from a studio such as Bungie is unbeatable. Many developers produce games rapidly in search of profits, resulting in games that are greatly flawed, are lacking in storyline, and are just a revised edition of the multiplayer from the previous games (such as the Call of Duty franchise, games which I have also played quite frequently. Halo: Reach has been in production since Halo 3 came out, nearly three years. This will undoubtedly result in quality that far surpasses any other game in its genre on this platform.
This being said, I must sound like one of the much hated "fanboys," though I consider myself to be an educated one. When purchasing a game, I would much rather get advice from a person who obviously knows his stuff, though he may be a bit obsessive, instead of someone who has obviously not taken five minutes to sit down and actually read about what he is reviewing. This is why I have taken the time to sit down and write this review and I hope it will be appreciated.

Alright to start I have been a huge fan of the franchise since well Marathon - the original Halo. The Campaign is great there's quite a few challenging mission. The graphics are up to par with Halo 3 and ODST.
There are the standard Halo glitches, I flipped a Warthog and couldn't get my team to get back in. I think the campaign is very interesting, but it's definently the same old Halo.
They've made a lot of great changes to Multiplayer. I will say that was the reason I bought the game was for XBox Live. I was addicted to Halo 3 Multiplayer for about a year after it's release.
I really like what they've done with the point system. There's lots of cool features to unlock. This will be addicting to the true Halo fans.
Since I have been playing COD games. After a good year of Modern Warfare 2, I was disappointed with Halo: Reach everything seems really slow. I would not reccomend for any Veteran COD Multiplayer Gamer.

Halo, the original redefined first person shooters while the second opened the flood gates for millions of hours of online multiplayer. Halo 3 brought the best of both worlds with an ending some found frustrating but somehow suitable. Halo 3: ODST introduced new characters and new game play to keep the franchise fresh.
Now Halo: Reach brings the best of all four worlds. The graphics are the best yet, with incredibly customizable armor (plus you can even play as a female now). New weapons and a slew of vehicles are added in a new game that ties together the Halo storyline with exciting, fun characters and familiar enemies.
The multiplayer includes incredibly large maps, a Blood Gulch remake (awesome for those Red vs Blue fans), and all the vehicles you could want. Added abilities (including jet pack, invincibility and more), weapons and some very nice enhanced audio giving the action a more real feel.
Overall, this game ends the Halo franchise in a great way. If you have enjoyed Halo throughout the years (and enjoyed not being Master Chief in ODST) then you'll love Reach.

But this is the best installment of Halo. The extra features for the fights are great - Assassination, Armor abilities. I usually suck at Halo games but am doing well with this one. I give credit to the makers who have done a great job equalizing the weapons out and the maps and graphics are awesome!

good game ,awesome graphics i wish the hud had just a little more information, but what it has is just fine i never get tired of this game love the armor i wish you could switch from first to third person so you would have a choice as to how you want to play but these are just small things and they don't really matter overall this is a very good game.

I bought this game for my son. He has received each new HALO game as they have come out and I must say they do seem to always improve the game in some way or another. The game play and the graphics and the new maps with this game make it unique as they each usually are but I must say the main thing I have noticed on this one is the graphics seem so much better!!

I've really never been a huge fan of halo, infact i dont own any halo games at all and Ive had the original xbox and the 360 but Halo reach really caught my attention this game looks amazing, and I'm really putting this on my list of video games that i want. My friend had lent me halo 3 and i got bored after the first 3 missions, it just didnt seem like the old halo, but in reach, armor abilities, new armor, new weapons its a big step for bungie, i dont know how it will end up, its really gonna be a win or lose for bungie, but with bungie's reputation, this is looking to be one of the best games coming out this year.

Bungie Studios has completed their time with Microsoft and the Halo IP with the greatest Halo game thus far. The storyline, the graphics overhaul, the added features and the multiplayer system all are top notch and will set the bar for whoever picks up the reins now.

Halo reach is the best out of the halo franchise. The multiplayer is increadable, the armor abilities and the diffrent load outs make for an entirely original halo experiance. The Champaign is also really fun. The only thing about the champaign is the story. I have read the book Fall of reach. The events in the game dont add up to the book. The pillar of autom was already in space with almost all of the spartans abourd about to head out on a secret mission to defeat the covenant when they attacked reach. Cortana was already with john before the covenant attacked. If i remember correctly Dr. Halsey was not in sword base but i could be wrong. The developers of the champaign may not have been trying to base the game of the book, but having read the book prior to the game. I was expecting the book to come to life in front of me. Which in some instances were true. Overall the game is awesome and I love it.

Best Buy was the place to buy this game.. i had it preordered and it arrived right on time on sept. 14th the release date.. i cant tell you how happy i was with best buy.. further more they sent me a free $20 give card with it!! :) as for the game. this is the best halo ever by far! the graphics are amazing and the story is easy to follow and it goes right along with the previous versions ( of course before the other ones but it leaves right off where halo 1 begins...) matchmaking is insane in this game.., a lot better than all of the previous versions of halo.. it includes a lot more of infection (my favorite variant) in addition players are allowed to vote.. the game gives you three choices for the next game and players vote and the game with the most votes wins basically.. overall i would definitely recommend this game to everyone.. its AMAZING!!!!

I loved playing the campaign of Halo reach. Its great on any difficulty and the new accomodation system is really cool. Playing with friends or by yourself on legendry presents a good challenge and the achievments for this game are definately not out of reach by any extent. The multiplayer of Halo reach dissapointed me though. I could play Halo 3 for hours on end online but not Reach. The maps are poorly put together and spawns were a problem to with weapons and players. I also think that the voting system is disappointing. Bungie needs to seperate game types better in lobbies like Big team and regular team slayer. Other than that the game is pretty fun and it brings some new things to the Halo scene. I recomend this game to anyone who likes a good campaign for sure and when the multiplayer gets overhauled, which I'm sure it will, to any first person shooter addict.

This game is one of the best game I've ever played! I'll keep it brief. Reach has 3 game types you can play: campaign, multiplayer, and firefight. Campaign is focused on the Planet of Reach and takes place before Halo Combat Evolved. Multiplayer with Live allows you to choose from around 20 game types you can play. Without Live, you can do split-screen or even do system-links. Firefight tests how long you can survive against waves of covenants.
If you want to take a break from fighting, this game also offers forge mode where you can create your own map. It also has theaters where you can watch you and your friends in recent game modes. You'll never get bored of this game since there are numerous types of game modes you can play. You are not required to buy Live in case some of you are wondering.

This game is quite extrodianry and different then the other halo games. The campaign was epic. I loved how you fought side by side with your fellow spartans pretty much the whole time. The multiplayer is unique and genius. I love the credit system that makes you wanna keep playing the game more and more. The weekly and daily challenges always wannna make you play and do out of the ordinary challenges. If you are a fan of any halo game, don't hesitate and buy reach.

Personally I never got into Halo that much but i had gotten Halo 3 cause i had a couple friends who had it and wanted to play online with them. It was pretty fun but got old with the same thing over and over. I like the new additions they made to this with the new abilities and different modes like SWAT and whatnot. You actually have to find your opponent in that one and not just look at your radar cause you have none in swat so it makes that funner for me. One thing i really loved was the armor lock which comes very handy when theres tons of grenades flying around and those a**holes with the sword. The campaign is fun as well and gotta love the assassinations. Overall a very fun game and i dont regret buying it.

It is Halo. There isn't much more to say. Multi-player is awesome as normal. The campaign is a little short but it is a pretty good story line. If you are looking for a game that is fun, a good campaign, and a great multi-player shooter, this is the one. No questions asked!

I was never really a Halo fan. Reach has changed that. The online is super fun and I can not wait to get home and play more. I was happy I did not have to play Hammers or swords. Swat is probalby the best multiplayer part of the game.
I wish that there were more multiplayer maps then they already have. I feel like the maps on Call of Duty are way better because they are big and you can hide a little and shot.
The story was really good. I felt like I cared about the other memebers of my team. The story is pretty dark.

Halo Reach is supposed to be one of the best games in the franchise. All new multiplayer and missions! I hear bungie pretty much built the game from the ground up! Can't wait for its release! Hope it has co-op campaign and multiplayer on the same console though.
