This game delivers. I'm a Halo series lover so it's easy to win me over but this game was definitely a winner. For the campaign - I've heard it was a little too easy on normal but on legendary you'll definitely have to tweak your strategy and the game will last (with plenty of frustrating moments so watch out for flying controllers from spending a couple hours trying to get to the next checkpoint). The AI is no joke (at least on legendary). Watch for flanking, baiting, and actual strategy from the AI. The game had some pretty good length on it. I didn't feel like it ended too quickly and the ending is pretty cool because you're emotionally involved. The ending has some good resolution to it (don't quit before the credits are over). I haven't played ODST yet but I've heard there was more emotional involvement with the characters in that game. Definitely a little more somber feeling throughout the game because you know what happens (if you know the series). The mulitplayer and firefight modes are awesome! I have a few issues with some of the multiplayer perks getting abused on a couple levels but they can be balanced out with other perks and a little skill. The spawn times on the power weapons are a lot longer so I've noticed a lot less power weapon hoarding and domination (although difficult to completely eliminate without eliminating the weapon). The levels are fun and creative with some exact replicas from prior games... some loose affiliations from prior games. The firefight mode is a good change of pace when your tired of campaign or multiplayer or if you just want to blast some Covenant (that's not to say that its easy and isn't addictive in it's own right). The daily and weekly challenges and commendations add another level to the game beyond the achievements and medals. It can keep you involved when your ready to put down the controller and it can also keep you from going to bed because "you're almost there! just a couple more headshots!" The only downfall when your chasing challenges is when your get them all it can make you feel as there is no point in playing anymore for the time being. (Then again, if you get all the challenges maybe its time to take a break for a little bit... some of the challenges come with extreme difficulty). There were a few graphical glitches in the campaign (they were also in my roommate's copy; different Halo copy, different Box). They're so few that I debated whether to knock a mark off for graphics. I knocked one off because it should have been caught in testing or quality control. Personally, I think its the best Halo yet (though Master Chief is thoroughly missed). It has some Halo 1 feel in it because of the addition of health (instead of just shield). I think this is better because it adds the challenge for you to pay attention to your health and it also speeds up game play. All in all, an awesome game that will provide you with hours of fun. Easily addictive game.

I've been a great fan of the halo series. It's a great multiplayer game and has great campaign that is awesome especially when you play it with friends. Considering that its the last Bungie made Halo game and they've rebuilt it from the ground up, I thinks it's gunna be awesome.

Halo Reach has emerged as the best to date Halo game of the series. The campaign is fresh and endearing as it chronicles the fated Spartan Noble Team during the final days/hours of the siege of planet Reach. The story itself is so compelling that it does not need series favorite Master Chief to carry it along and it doesn't. This is the last Halo outing with series creator/developer Bungie and they end on the highest of notes. Absolutely pick this up for your Xbox 360 library as it's a must own title!

The Halo franchise takes the visuals up a notch, and moves the competitive multiplayer bar higher. This is the most complete Halo experience to date.
The story now feels more cinematic than ever before, and flushed out.
Be warned most of the package will be the multiplayer. If you are not into online fragging, then this is not for you. This version offers more gamemodes than you can handle, and a level creator bigger and better than Forge on Halo 3.
If you enjoy online gaming and a decent single player FPS experience, this is for you!

So great I can't even keep my wife from playing it non-stop. Very satisfying campaign. Poignant touches make you really care about Noble team. The graphics engine could have been slightly more overhauled, but everything looks appropriately pretty on the HDTV.
Haven't had a chance to take this baby into multiplayer yet, but we have been enjoying the firefight option. I'm sure as soon as we get our wireless internet situation resolved, it's just going to add another layer of awesome to our Halo experience.

Halo series are good, if you are into action. Among all the versions of the series, this one is the one with most replayability. What it means is that you can replay the levels and the experience is different every time. Add skulls to amp the difficulty and get ready to die a lot! :)
Go system link, split screen or online playing with friends and it's a feast!
Forge is revamped so you can do more with it. Firefight is really really good and is top notch fun. Hands down this one is a winner!

This game is extremely fun to play. The campaign is beautiful and the co-op online in campaign is awesome as well. Multiplayer is good, but the match making can be a little redundant. ex.- you might play SWAT on Spire one round, then you might play it the very next round on the same level. So it can get old in that aspect. Also the level up can get really boring and slow after you get past Warrant Officer. It starts creeping after that. But all in all its a fun game to play.

Halo: Reach added excellent new and exciting multilayer maps and variants, but also did a great job bringing back the classics. Forge is better than ever and has allowed players to create their favorite maps from any game.(May it be COD or previous Halo games) The elites are back which is exhilarating compared to brutes. Reach really ties the Halo games up; leaves you feeling satisfied and almost wanted to start all over again from Halo 1.

Halo Reach is a game that I would greatly like to return to Best Buy and have complete intention to do so upon the release of a real game, Call of Duty: Black Ops. Now, let me clarify this bold statement.
The graphics are a vast improvement over the previous versions. The customization of the spartan makes you feel like you are more a part of the team in single player and gives you something to work toward while playing multi-player. However, I really wish that the customization would have been more then cosmetic. It would have been great to be able to choose to be a lightweight or heavyweight in your armor choices. I think this would have greatly affected how useful the new powerups were. Otherwise, the customization gets old after a while.
The single player, for me, was good. I didn't mind the length. I liked the challenge of it. I liked the storyline more then any previous Halo. I felt like it was a unique experience from the previous.
However, the multi-player leaves a lot to be desired. I found it to be a complete frustration, especially after playing Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 for so long. The continual shooting to take one enemy down is completely frustrating. The SWAT mode takes this to the complete opposite spectrum. I would have like to see a middle ground of play style. I understand that this is the Halo way, but this new game would have been a perfect way to give the series a 'Face lift'. And again, I think my note above in regards to the customization of character being a strategic move would have been great.
All in all, this game is one that will be traded in at the next opportunity. I do not feel like wasting my time with a game that does not deserve it.

Awesome Campaign as always. Amazing graphics and smooth gameplay. Great way to extend the gameplay of previous Halo's. The new armor abilities are awesome in the gameplay and very effective in hostile situations.
The multiplayer is good as expected. The armor abilities in it are good, but it makes it even crazier that it was before, but it does make it more interesting. The maps are the same as before, but slightly modified

Halo: Reach is a lot of fun with a good story. The other half of Halo games is the multiplayer and Bungie does not disappoint here! They daily and weekly challenges give you plenty of goals to work towards and increase the playability of the game. THis is the best game to get into the Halo franchise with if you have yet to do so.

I'm a fan of the Halo series, so my opinion is admittedly biased. The guys @ Bungie upped the anti on this one in all respects: graphics-10, sound-10, gameplay9.0(in all fairness, the series has become a little generic, with minor changes;i.e. the space fighter episode was to short)' but if you like fps, then this is a must have. A little harder than the earlier games, but major fun, campaign and multiplayer.

Halo: Reach is a very great game versus the past Halo games. Multiplayer is easier to jump into. I'm no longer waiting 10 minutes to get into a match. The credits after winning a match is nice, but I wish the armor upgrades actually did something.
Campaign has better acting now then the other Halo games. I especially like that its co-op goes up to 4 players over Live.

i have not played the game too much yet but the definitely outdid themselves this time. i like how in the campaign you get to ride in the hornet or falcon and see everything inbetween each mission. the battles are more realistic and the elites are not dam near impossible to kill. couple shots to the head and BAM! also like how the character you create is the one you play with in campaign not some random green dude.
