However they are advertising it does. once the machine stops brewing the machine turns off and it wont heat up the coffee. So you depend on the Thermos to keep your coffee warm. Be careful when purchasing this. I already called Hamilton beach and they don't care and they say go and buy the glass carafe.

That means when camping, start the generator, turn on the pot and then turn off the generator and enjoy the entire pot. No hot plate needed and no constant power either. Worked great this weekend.

This is exactly the same model in fact, its even better in some ways. For one thing the digital time display is much brighter and easier to see. Highly recommend.
