great combination of single serve & pot choices!

We saw this at Best Buy & picked it up as we have a Hamilton Beach single serve coffee maker that does pre-pack cups AND ground coffee that works great for traveling & vacation! We were suprised to find this coffee pot & single serve combo, as it seemed perfect for the kitchen at home! Make single cups or mugs on work days, and full pots of coffee on weekends, and when entertaining! It;s great! only shortcoming is it drips a couple of drops of water or coffee when moving the holder changing Kcups!

Wish I could stop replacing it

I purchased this pot about 18 months ago, the first time I replaced it because the pump stopped working, 6 months later I replaced it again because it started leaking water all over my counter. I just replaced it for the third time 3 days after Christmas. I awoke this morning to no coffee. I assume the pump stopped working again. When it works I LOVE IT. I love the coffee, I love having the single serve attachment. I haven't decided whether or not I will replace it or get something different.

I bought this and replaced my Keurig. I don't really like that it beeps if you don't have the water level exactly where it should be when using the keurig portion. So I usually use the pot side now and leave it sitting until my husband wakes up to drink the rest.

Although it takes a long time for a single cup to brew. The coffee maker is wonderful, just takes time to get used to it.

keurig broke? Good replacement for old broken coffee maker with better options. Only down side is reservoir is for 1 cup or 1 pot, but the up side is you can fill a travel mug of any size.

    Bad Plastic Taste

I was excited to purchase this coffee pot. It looks great and has the features I wanted. I can brew a whole pot or just a single cup. On top of that I can use my own grounds or the K cups. That is where the love affair ends with this machine. My first single cup of coffee.... or should I say cup of liquid plastic tasting disappointment. I have tried cleaning the pot with water, with vinegar and nothing is working. The taste is not as bad on the Carafe side as it is on the single serving side but it is still there. I would not recommend this to anyone else.

Really like this coffee maker, however the K-cup maker side is very cheaply made. Like that it came a metal screen filter no more buying filters for us.

    A Very Bad Investment

I was very excited about this product since it had both the Pot and the K cup option. I had to return the first one I bought after discovering that it had missing parts on the machine. After getting the replacement and the first use I was not impressed with it at all. It takes too much time to heat up the water and dispense the K cup, and it was very loud. At about the fifth or a sixth time of usage the pump went out on it. It sure did make a lot of noise but would not deliver the K cup brew. Maybe it was my luck to get a defected one but I was disappointed with the quality. I am not sure about the full pot brewing option since I did not even use it. I had to return the second one and bought a single serve Keurig instead and could not have been happier! Hope this helps

Worked well for little over 1 year

used 4-5 times a week, usually for single serve. Was nice for gatherings as well to make larger amounts. After about 1.5 years it just started giving ERR. Tried over and over again on single serve setting, emptying the water several times, unplugging it and still no go. Also noticed steam coming out of the water reservoir (Don't believe that was normal)

    Not a Fan

Yes, it brews coffee and single-use pods fairly well and provides options. However, as a combo pot to replace our CoffeeMate pot and single-use Keurig, it failed to win us over. • Things that could be dealt with: The base slides on the counter. When returning the carafe to the heating pad, the whole machine moves (not a lot, but enough to be irritating). Easy enough to put some sticky feet on it. The lip of the carafe prohibits complete pour out of liquid. Perhaps it's there to prevent dripping, but in our household, it was an annoyance. • Thing that prompted a return on this coffee beast: When snapping the K-cups into the holder prior to sliding the holder into the machine, if you're shaking, not quick or close enough to the machine, contents from the pod tend to shift out of the bottom hole you just made. Upon disposing of used K-cup, the drip factor is enough to make another mess to clean up (even after letting it sit in the pot overnight).

LOVE IT! This is the best of both worlds. We've had it for 1 month love it more everyday. 12 cpus, k-cups, loose coffee for 1, the choices are endless and meet every need. Coffee ALWAYS hot! Highly recommend!

I love this coffee pot. i have not had a bad k cup experience with it. Pros: kcups, pods, loose leaf tea, coffee grounds, 12 cup pot, no mess poor with 12 cup pot cons: having to refill reservoir every time for single use

    Great concept - plastic taste

Got one of the 'original' K-cup brewers, but was disappointed with the restrictions & extra counter space needed, so thought this would be the perfect alternative. Pros - Can brew 12-cup pot or K-cup size mug, without needing two appliances. Can still use non-Keurig K-cups. Less expensive than Keurig Con - Could NOT get rid of plastic taste/smell of coffee from K-cup side. Tried washing (multiple times), running vinegar through, and even baking soda. Really liked the idea, but the plastic taste was a deal breaker. I've read of others with the same issue, but several that did not have the problem. I just didn't have the patience to exchange it & hope for a better result, so it was returned.

    Worked great...on one side

From the time I bought it, the K-Cup side was wonky. The carafe side always worked great. Sometimes the K-Cup side would only fill my cup halfway (I use the same cup to fill the reservoir as would brew into), sometimes it would overflow. Now it doesn't work at all. I bought it exactly 32 days ago. I'd spend my money on something else. I thought the idea of having the option would be cool, but it's been more hassle than anything.

Love everything except that you can't keep water in it for k-cups. Instead you have to either put 10 Oz for pack or 14 Oz for ground. If you go over you get an error message.

    Burnt Bitter Coffee Taste

I would love this coffee maker if it made good tasting coffee but as it fails in its main function I have to give it a bad review. Love the idea in having the ability to make a single cup so great idea but bad execution. After using it for a week I have come to the theory that the warming plate is just too hot and is burning the coffee at lease that what it seems like. Don’t ever remember any other coffee makers I have had in the past that the coffee was this hot in the pot. This machine is being returned today for another model.

    Serves its purpose

I would give it 5 stars but I noticed that when you make coffee on the k-cup side it still heats the pot on the other side via the plate warmer on the bottom of the pot. I cannot see this being good for an empty glass pot. Other that that I've had no issues, many people complain that you need to add water everytime you make a k-cup, that was common sense to me, it's not an actual keurig.

    They always break

Last year on Christmas, I was looking for a new coffee maker with the ability to have Carafe and single serving along with the choice of ground or kcup. Well, this was the only product that could do that for the longest time. The first one I got broke down two months later - the reservoir was leaking. No problem, I got a full refund and got the second one... Which broke down five months later due to pump failure. Got a full refund and started looking for alternatives, but this was still the only one with all the capabilities. So, I got the third one which broke down three months later, the fourth one I got broke down mere weeks later. Finally, I found that Black & Decker put out a similar product that fixes many of the problems that this coffee maker has. So, I ordered that and am waiting for it to arrive. I expect I'll make a review for that once I get it.
