Worked Initially
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.System worked well for 5 mos. then would not brew. Contacted Hamilton Beach and they charge $14 for replacement under warranty. Its been 10 days and no replacement. I hope if I receive another unit it lasts more than 5 mos.

Not a good product.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My coffee maker lasted less than one year. I bought one for my sister as a gift and it lasted less than a year also. Water all over the counter and kitchen. Very BAD product.

Worst Coffee Pot I've Ever Had!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I'm really surprised that this pot got a "4+star" rating, unless there's something wrong with the pot I bought. The single serving part of this pot is a great idea, but you have to keep putting water in each time for a single K-Cup portion. Not a huge deal, but not as convenient as it could be. Secondly, it brews one cup so sloooow when it's the first cup of the day. Subsequent cups are faster, though. Thirdly, the hot plate underneath the EMPTY glass carafe on the other side heats up even if you're only using the single serving function. This makes no sense to me. If you choose to empty the k-cup after making a cup (to make another one), you'll more than likely burn your fingers removing the cup with all the steam coming from the k-cup holder. Overall, very poor design and annoying to use.

Maybe mine is defective
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Using the K-Cup option, it only brewed half a cup. When the K-cup holder was removed, the remaining water then dribbled out (but obviously not brewed). Single server basket worked OK Both times, the coffee tasted awful - very strong plastic taste, not what I know the grind normally tastes like.

Does not lasts - Leaks
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.A short time after buying this coffee pot it started leaking all over the counter. Took it back and got a replacement. Now less than 6 months in the replacement is leaking all over the counter as well. When it starts leaking it is not a small leak. It dumps a substantial amount of water on the counter.

If you want coffee to taste like chemical waste
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Coffee tastes like it was brewed from plastic chemical waste. Called support for Hamilton Beach. They claimed this was unusual and to wash in baking soda. Still tastes like brewed from chemical waste. I will never buy another Hamilton Beach product in the future. Threw this unit in the trash.

Don't waste your time
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Title says it all. The k cup holder has a puncture device under the cup mount. The coffee grounds come pouring out when you insert the k cup into the mount. I have no idea how this made it to the public market.
