Customers appreciate the convenience of the FlexBrew Single-Serve Coffee Maker's removable reservoir. However, a significant number of users find the brewing speed to be slower than expected and report an unpleasant aftertaste in the brewed coffee. Some describe the taste as having a plastic-like quality. This slow brewing speed and off-putting taste are major drawbacks reported by multiple users.

I have many Hamilton products. This one just didn’t cut the mustard, or, live up to my regimen to satisfy my morning coffee needs. It is a very slow machine. It takes way to long to get a cup of coffee from this machine, Anyone who is dependent on that first cup of coffee to start your day, this is not the machine for you…especially comparing it to other single cup coffee makers I have had in the past. Unfortunately, this particular maker malfunctioned with excess steam coming out of the back and was spitting water. It is definitely a safety issue. I love all their products, but this one is a clear pass for me.

Very Happy With The New Coffee Machine

After a bit of struggle with breaking in the lid closure mechanism the machine works like a charm. One needs to be mindful of cup size before brewing but once accustomed to doing so 8/10/14 cup selection setting is quite handy - it prevents overfill or allows for a slightly stronger brew (especially when used with stronger brew setting. The removable reservoir and piercer/pod holder are very easy to clean. The only downside is that one obscure brand of pods is too thick to be easily pierced. Miniscule problem. Very happy with it overall. Excellant machine for the price.

I have used Hamilton Beach FlexBrew machines before. The dual one, with the large pot and the single cup has an issue with the hose connection and is prone to leaking when using the pot side after awhile. The single-brew machine without the water tank is good, but I like this one because you don't have to always fill the machine each time you make a cup. AND, you can place it under a cabinet at the end, so you can reach the water tank without moving the machine out. I read another comment about taste. I have never had a "plastic" taste or anything using these machines for years. Also, it makes coffee quick enough, and the pump is quiet.

My first coffee machine to use Kcups, and so far so good. It includes filter screen so you don't have to use Kcups. Water reservoir is good for a few cups before needing to refill. Basically quick and efficient as well as doesn't take up too much kitchen space.

This k cup machine works well!! I like that you can fill the reservoir tank to 40 ounces and everytime I make a cup of coffee, I fill the tank back up. I use bottled water so the machine doesn't get clogged with minerals.

Terrible! We returned it. The coffee had a plastic chemical taste. We could never get the taste out. We washed and cleaned with vinegar and coffee pot cleaner product. Nothing worked!

If you don't want to wake anyone while making coffee, don't buy this one! Motor makes loud noises during each stage of brewing. Loud whining while machine is filling, loud vibration while cup is filling, and a screaching while purging. Was hoping would get better with time, but no difference after more than 6 months. Also, don't think it should take almost 5 minutes to brew ONE cup of coffee!
