Design Star
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Have only had this a week, but so far it is a design star from the lid that allows adding ingredients easily to the low profile to fit under cabinets to the easily seated glass jar and easy-to-read controls which are a plus for elders or anyone with limited vision. Speaking of easy-to-read, the instruction booklet is crystal clear, a remarkable feat these days. If this blender holds up, I am an unabashed fan of the design star.

OK but not great

I read tons of reviews on what seemed like a million options and basically flipped a coin. I'm not overly impressed with the "smoothie cycle" on this one-it isn't long enough if you are using any hard &/or frozen ingredients. Also the pour-through lid is funky-I would rather have a regular one. That said, it seems fairly powerful and I like that it has an overheat shut off so maybe it won't burn up on me before I can afford to invest in a BlendTec or VitaMix.
