My mom and I both were having a hard time opening cans with a manual can opener lately, so we both decided to get this electric can opener- and it worked perfectly when she used it to open a can of vegetables. No mess- opened the can with ease and left just a smooth opening on top and no sharp edges on both the can and the lid!!! One of the best investments we've made within the last 2 and a half months!

This can opener removes the top "lid" off of the can instead of just cutting out the top. You simply put the lid up to the guard and "push" the lever. It is every smooth in it's operation however, the lever is just a tad too firm to have to hold down while it is cutting the can. It doesn't stop "running" after it has made the rotation to cut the can so you have to listen for the change in tone of the motor to know that it has completed. I bought this for my elderly parent with arthritic hands as this one seemed to be the easiest to operate. Overall she has told me that it has performed well and she is now happy that she can prepare her wonderful meals with ease!

Am 71 now and this is the best can opener have ever owned. Easy to set can in place.

Needed to replace a handheld can opener. Wrists aren't able to open and use. So reviewed all can openers. Mostly for sustainablity and ease of use. This was the choice. Takes off the lid from the top, not the side. Handles larger 32 oz cans just fine. Small footprint.

These electric can openers are amazing. We’ve always had the manual ones. Our manual one broke, and so we decided to try the electric version and it’s like, oh god, why didn’t we just buy one of these from the get go? Never going back!

Opens the can completely and without any problems. Takes top off and there are not any sharp edges.

Works wonderfully. I've developed osteoarthritis in my hands in the last year and all of the manual can openers are painful. Being able to recess some of the cord inside the machine is very helpful, too; though it's a bit difficult to do. Otherwise, I'd give it 5 stars.

Waited while to make sure it continued working. Works well, but I wasn't used to a can opener that cuts around the outside edges, instead of the inside of the lid. Seems hazardous to getting cut. But, I'm just extra careful and haven't gotten injured yet...the edges are sharp, not jagged; but I use a dish rag to be safe.

This is our first electric can opener, so I did some research. My last manual one was a dud, so we figured we'd jump into the big leagues. This one is great. It holds the can and opens it quickly. The only complaint is that it's a little loud, which makes my stealthy, early-morning lunch prep for the kids not so stealthy. Other than that, we love it. I'd buy another if it broke.
