My wife and I have had 4 electric can openers in the last 4 or 5 years and all have disappointed greatly. Not this one. This Hamilton Beach is by far the best. I would recommend it without hesitation.

This is a great can opener. It is very quiet and opens all the cans we throw at it with ease. The blade is even able to be taken off for easy cleaning. There is also a removable bottle opener that fits in a little slot in the back of the can opener. It is wonderful!

This can opener looks great, especially with stainless steel appliances throughout the kitchen. It works the way it's supposed to, and it actually holds the can after being opened to avoid it falling and splashing everywhere. It comes with a bottle opener, and it also has a cutter for opening that hard plastic packaging that other small utensils may come in.

The motor is still good, however, since I can no longer use the magnet to catch the lid, it falls in the can. This opener never worked with the 28oz bean can without holding the unit (it would fall forward) anyway but now that bean can has broken the magnet housing. I was willing to overlook it but now I am having buy a new one. It will not be Hamilton Beach.

This can opener worked great out of the box, however it did not hold up over the couple of months I used it. After only using it to open 30 cans or less so far. It has stopped working all together. It jams up when opening a can now. I have cleaned the blade and gears to make sure it wasn't clogged up. But still just jams. It's okay for a once and a while can opener, but not good for an everyday can opener.
