Great movie! Good action with some comedy mix. The combination of will smith and Charlize Theron is phenomenal

Face it, since the Fresh Prince entered the blockbuster movie scene he has packed a big punch. Be it epic movies such as: Hancock, I am Legend, Independence Day, or more dramatic movies like The Pursuit of Happiness, Smith has delivored big. The movie reminds me a mix of Heros and Unbreakable, with a splash of newness that will be revealed towards the end. I loved the plot and the trio of actors did a great job. Just when you think when you know where the next turn is you are darted into a new corner of the plot; very unpredictable with a satisying ending that in my opinion is leading up to a sequal. But what do you think...?

What an unexpected approach this film took; it shows us the opposite reasons for being a superhero. Usually, films in the genre present the superhero as one who fights crimes, their own demons, and is loved by all those who like to see justice prevail. Not Hancock; here you will find a film that shows what the consequences are for breaking things and what it means to break the rules in 'our world'. You might have seen many mixed criticism; I avoided this film in theaters, but now that I've seen it I have to say that I missed out. I have to comment on the last third of this film though: it becomes stupid.

Hancock is a great movie especially on blu-ray. Blu-ray really brings the movie to life and gives added excitement. When this movie is being played through a home theater system with a good subwoofer it will blow you away. I have a yamaha home theater system with the klipsch sub10 and it is amazing to watch this movie on it. When things blow up or explode, you really feel like you are in the movie. The picture in so clear on blu-ray which also adds to the whole movie experience. I would recommend this movie in blu-ray to anyone who has a good home theater system or blu-ray disc player.

Other reviews may see this movie as fewer than five stars because of the "different" super hero type movie that it brings to the table. Hancock isn't like normal superheroes; therefore, the movie isn't like other super hero movies. The plot was incredibly written, Will Smith and Charlize Theron were great, and the surprise twist is one that you would never see coming. I left the movie theater in awe. I paid fourteen dollars to see it when it came out, and I left wondering why it didn't cost twenty. It was an excellent movie and it's one of those movies you can watch over and over again for years to come.

I took my kids to the theatre to see this one. I thought it was going to be one of those stupid, obnoxious movies. I was pleasantly surprised. It had action & comedy (which is my preferred genre of movie). It did have a couple of "stupid & obnoxious" moments, but overall it was a pretty good movie....alot better than the last Will Smith movie I saw (I Am Legend).

My wife and I got this movie, having never had the chance to see it in the theater. We have a PS3 so we bought the BluRay version. A neighbor of ours came over a few days after while we were watching it, and commented that the visuals of the movie were a lot better then his regular dvd of the movie. All in all, the movie is good, the graphics on Blu-ray are far more superb then those on the regular dvd EVEN through an upconverting DVD player. Will Smith does it again, and keeps getting better.

I really liked this movie, it might have taken a min. to actually figure out what was going on but overall i thought it was very good, Charlize Theron is always amazing and so is Will Smith, I dont know if I would really allow a kid to watch this, but it was fun!

This movie has it all. It has comedy. some scenes had us laughing so hard. It was also suspenseful. It had some twists in the story. Will Smith was great in this movie. This will be a movie that i will buy to add to our dvds.

Overall, this movie was pretty good-I don't think it's one of those movies you would want to buy and watch over and over again but it's definitely worth watching at least once. Without ruining anything, I wish the ending was better with Will Smith having flashbacks of his past but I liked how this movie portrayed a very good innocent nonpowered man vs. a superpowered man and how they can work together-especially since well, if I say it'll ruin the ending but you guys know if you watched it. If you are looking for a major blockbuster hit like Gladiator and Batman, this isn't up there but it's still a very good movie to watch.

We saw this at the theater and loved it but when this came to DVD it was shocking in that we had young children with us and the unrated version was more for adults. At the insistance of own own young children we returned it. If you have children beware that this version is not the one you want to see with them. Will Smith is an excellent actor ( all the actors in this movie ) and all the talent in this movie made the story believeable in that, modern superhero's might have to deal with. People seem to want help only you might find out they do not like way you helped them.

This is a great action movie. If you like actions movies or superheroes, you will enjoy this movie. The blu-ray version is great for all the great cinematics, but don't expect a whole lot from the dvd extras.

This movie was probably one of Will Smiths best of 2008. This fill what action from the beginning down to the end of the movie. Its also has laughts and Laughts that make you really get an feel of the movie. The scenes are will put together as well as the plot of the movie. Buy this movie you want be disapointed. Besides Blu-ray format is the best.

this was not one of the best superhero movies by anymeans, but was still fun. its short but fun. will smith is great as hancock. jason bateman was good. everybody did good. there is hardly a story until it is all told to you at a dinner table in one scene, but its more like a side story. overall the story is weak, the special effects are bad, the humor is good, and chances are there will be like 3 sequels. i'm barely recommending this one. if you see this this next to dark knight or iron man or hulk on the shelves for christmas, then get one of those instead(dark knight).

Pretty good movie but am a Will Smith fan so maybe that says it all. Over all a good movie to watch, lots of funny parts with some emotion kicked in. Some good action scenes as well.

This is another great Will Smith movie. He does an amazing job in every aspect. Its funny and also has a lot of action in it. There is a slight twist in this movie that you might be able to see coming but it really does catch you off-guard. A definate must buy for your blu-ray collection.

Will Smith delivers as an anit-hero in this movie. He comes to some revalations about who he is and what his real purpose is even he doesn't want it.

Hancock is a great movie!! I saw it twice at the drive-in. It has some funny moments mixed with a lot of action. I'm not a big Will Smith fan but this movie was great. I highly recommend this one. I can't wait to buy the special edition on dvd.

I thought this was a pretty good movie. It's kind of like what would superman be like if he were a drunk. lol

Was really good, had action, suspence and unsuspected parts in the movie, and funny, that was good.
