Great movie depicting a young Hannibal Lector. Highly recommend.

If you ever wondered what in God's name could have happened to the good Doctor to make him "Whatever" he is watch this film. A twisted, mind blowing and sometimes just freak you out explanation of his young life, will tell you exactly how he rose from the depths of hell.

This is another great movie involving Hannibal Lecter. Giving the viewer information about how Hannibal grew up. Who would of guessed that Hannibal had a sister. After watching this film we know why Hannibal killed for the first time.

It's kind of like if TAKEN starred Hannibal instead of Leim. He's got a particular set of skills. He will find you. And he Will eat you... But not until after he schools you on rude you have been to his Aunt.

Bought this to watch with my son. He loves all horror movies. This one did not disappoint! Great price for a night of entertainment.

This movie is good for those that have watched other movies about Hannibal Lector because it provides the background.

This was a good movie. The story line was captivating.

I thought that this movie was going to be horrible. However, if you liked 'Silence of the Lambs' and 'Red Dragon' and 'Hannible' you will definately enjoy this one. This actor does an excellent job, and the story told is great. I won't say more than that because I don't want to spoil anything. If you have the other movies in your collection this one is a must. I rented it first because I thought it was bad- what a waste, I bought it the next day!!!!

This movie was fantastic, my wife and I loved it! We saw it in the theater and again unrated on DVD, great both times! This movie explores Hannibal's younger life from a child to a young man, and explains what made him the man he became. Gaspard Ulliel does an amazing job as Hannibal Lecter. All the fans of the Hannibal Lecter films and the Thomas Harris books will appreciate this amazing prequel! I highly recommend this movie, along with all the other Hannibal films!

This film was good. I would not rank it Great. It gave you the back drop on how Hanabal became who we all know him as. The only thing is that certain parts were a little to far out there and made you feel like you could not picture Hanabal doing that or things that way (this could be due to Anthony Hopkins performance being almost perfect to play the roll). Some of the things that happen made you feel like this was a movie more to show him killing people and not how he learned everything he did and how he became as educated as he was. Overall I did enjoy it for the most part and I like the whole Hanabal series.

Ever wonder how Hannibal Lector got so messed up? Well here it is folks, no more questions after this one. Excellent story line in this movie shot in the traditional classy Hannibal style. Going from a young Hannibal in the middle of World War 2 on the Russian front to his early adulthood, you will be left with shivers running down your spine. Another movie that leaves you wondering what kind of a mind comes up with this stuff?!? Deffinately not for the kiddies. Not my favorite in the Lector series but a superbly done prequal.

This film was produced with its followers in mind. I enjoyed seeing the vulnerable side of Lecter. He was a man of high emotion. His going over the edge was very subtle. It was not predictable only suspenseful.

This movie is amazing. This is by far the best of the Hannibal Lector movies. This blows away all stereotypes of prequels and weaves a tale you cannot not believe.

It was good, good story a halfway decent pace but...this is not the best Silence of the Lambs Prequel...Red Dragon is way better because of much better acting and just simply better quality however any SOTL will like this

This gives the viewer an understanding of how and why Dr. Lector enjoyed his consumption of those who smell delicious.
