Ordered only becasue i assumed it was the vhs retro packaging. It is just a blu ray, so misleading. Thankfully it was a decent price but not what i wanted.

By the '80s, slasher films were truly a dime a dozen and while there are some gems lurking beneath the surface of Halloween, Friday The 13th, Black Christmas and the like, Happy Birthday To Me is not one of them. The pacing is slow, the acting lacking and the general premise just average at best. With that said, it is indeed a slasher film from the early '80s so all of the aesthetic clichés that have since been adopted in many contemporary "retro" films are in full excess here. Recommended to genre fans and, well, that's about it.

If you're into 80s slashers, this is right up your alley. I personally love cheesy movies and this fits right up there. Awesome vhs style slip cover too.

Includes the Retro VHS slipcover, which made the purchase worthwhile for me. Movie was pretty good, better than I expected.

It's a regular bluray sleeve that looks like a VHS packaging. Regardless, it's nice and looks totally cool with that retro look.

I have never seen this horror film, and I was very impressed by the story and acting. There are some great/unique kills and the ending has so many twists that keep you wondering until the very last moment. Add this one to your collection. You won't regret it! I would have my friends watch this on any movie night!

Classic horror film. Just in time for Halloween. Price was great and came in quickly.

Mill Creek delivers, great little horror gem. Highly recommend to anyone who loves older horror films.

Wow! what can i say. they released this dvd back in 2004 and it was a complete MESS, HORRIBLE, LAME, RIDICULOUS, shall i go on....? the film is amazing (only if viewed with the original highly notable, music score that actually was taken out of the dvd release and instead, they added this absurd, keystone capers, giligans island, charlies angels (70's) horrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrible music score that a monkey probably did and it completely ruined the film) ..... NOWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW... we get the FULL VERSION ALONG WITH THE ORIGINAL SCARY SUSPENSEFUL MUSIC SCORE WE HAVE ALL BEEN WAITING FOR! THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!!!!!! From the opening killing, to the back stories, to the murders and to the party we all finally get to see, the twist ending in this film is INGENIOUS!!! MY BDAY IS THE 16th and guess what movie im watching? hehehehe you guessed it! E.T.!! yeah right! cannot wait for this release... alot of horror fans around the US will be buying this dvd for sure! enjoy my peeps!
