This horror movie is so perfectly crafted. I don't like slasher type movies but this is so so different. Jessica Rothe, Tree, delivers a phenomenal performance and Israel Broussard, Carter, is absolutely adorable in every way. I love that he is so sweet and so taken by Tree, and tries to help her even though her wacky explanation doesn't make any sense. The time loop was executed well and it does keep you guessing, such a good job with so many suspects to be considered. Awesome movie. I already ordered the sequel.

I absolutely enjoyed this film so much. Fantastic unique slasher film. Kind of gave me Scream vibes on some scenes but not all the way this movie was really uniquely made and hilarious. I laughed a lot and it wasn't really scary for me a couple of jump scenes but overall a fun slasher mysterious movie. Loved the casting and pacing of the film. I unfortunately wasn't a fan of the sequel. So I'm glad I have this Blu Ray copy to remind me of the first one I fell in love with.

Like most who saw this trailer, I thought this would be something akin to Scream meets Groundhog day, and to a certain extent, I was right. The big surprise was that the writers added something that provided a big sense of urgency for the main character that forced her to resolve the main conflict of the story. I highly recommend this film to anyone who is even slightly interested in it based on the trailer. 2 Thumbs way up. :)

Let me start by saying I'm not a fan of slasher films. I am a fan of unconventional films. So slasher meets Groundhog Day works well for my unconventional needs. It's not really horror, it's more of a comedy. Got plenty of laughs. They first twist was a bit of a let down, I won't spoil it, but there was a reason for it. There is opportunity to figure out who the killer is if you know what to look for.

This is a fun throwback to slasher films of the 1980s with the style of horror from the 1990s. All the standard scary movie tropes are on display here but with the added twist of Groundhog's Day as a hook. The killer looks a little silly, but is effective. It's too bad the film is rated PG-13 without an unrated cut offered for more intense thrills and chills. The movie works and I think you will like it too.

This is a fun dark comedy/horror film. Great lead actress who captured the quirkiness and sassiness the character needed.

What would happen if "Groundhog's Day" was a horror movie? Welcome to "Happy Death Day"! This clever, low budget horror movie pleasantly surprised me. Its hard to pull off something new in the horror genre and this movie certainly did just that. The other aspects of the movie are all just fine, acting, directing, the script. I had a good time and would recommend this to any horror fan.

Happy Death Day is a fantastic take on Groundhog Day. What starts as a movie about a girl reliving her birthday and subsequent death turns into a coming of age story about finding yourself. This movie definitely has horror elements to it but i wouldn't consider it a horror movie. It's much more of a thriller/comedy. Just trust me when I say you need to see this movie!
