We all know the movie Patton and how great Scott is in it, and his talent shines in Hardcore as well. This movie is similar to Taxi Driver with De'Niro. You take an incredible actor and put him in a real world type of movie and see how he reacts to each situation. Scott is a father who loses his daughter to the preversions of the world. He has no clue about that world but as he dives into it he uncovers the sickness and low people can let them selves go. The ending is bittersweet but as far as action is concerned, there are no explosions and insane stunts, theres just a father that will do whatever he can to save his daughter from a sick lifestyle. If you loved Taxi Driver, then Hardcore is along the same lines.
