A great way to sample the newer Fat roster
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Fat Wreck Chords put out some great comps in the '90s, but as digital music became more and more prevalent with the internet those releases came to a halt. Suddenly no one was interested in paying for a sampler when they could easily find the music for free online. So probably more for nostalgia than anything else, they release this: their first comp in the Fat Music series in several years. A few of the old bands are still with the label, but for the most part this serves as a way to prove that the label still has it, even if that means a slightly younger cleaner sound. I took off a star for the lack of exclusive tracks to this release - there are only a couple unavailable elsewhere. Regardless, Fat is personally my favorite punk label, and this is a great place to start if you're new to the label's output.
