This album isn't a return to past glory or a new evolution, it's Metallica being Metallica and that is not a bad thing. It's the best record the band has done since The Black Album in my opinion.

The thrash metal kings have returned with an album that showcases their storied career from the beginning until now!!! Spit out the bone, delusion and hardwired are some excellent standout tracks!!

When I first listened to this CD I was unprepared because it blew me out of my chair and got my adrenalin pumping. Adrenalin pumping metal, great lyrics and well recorded. Metal music forever!!!

Not a huge Metallica fan but really enjoy this album. There are a lot of different textures to the songs. Spit Out The Bone is my personal favorite. Give it a try, you won't be disappointed.

This album is phenomenal and is truly a return to their sound. Every song is at least 6 minutes long(2 discs, 12 songs) and each is truly unique. Quality album that rocks from start to finish.

I dont typically buy too many CD's anymore other than for a few artists and Metallica is one of them. If you've ever been a fan of them at some point this is definitely worth the purchase!!

Since the Black album, I never found any of their later release worth the investment as they moved away from their original sound. With "Hardwire...", you are getting a call from the 80s and reminds you when Metallica set the thrash metal genre.

This cd rocks! Most of the songs on the 2 cd's are very good. Metallica's still rocking. Fav song on the double album is Spit out the Bone, definitely one of their best songs ever made.

While Death Magnetic was okay, this album seems to have found some footing again by Metallica. It's a nice mix between their 80's and 90's sound which I think is a win-win for everyone.

It's been a long time since Death Magnetic. Thankfully this is a nice offering from Metallica. To me it is very reminiscent of songs from the Black album. So far I have listened to the first disc twice, and I am very impressed. Great job!

"Hardwired" is Metallica's best album since their self-titled '91 masterpiece, a double-album of exceptionally focused metal aggression - no ballads, no chasing trends, no concessions for a pop audience. A long overdue return to form.

Great old-school Metallica album. Very thrashy; lots of extended riffs and great Hammett solos. Definitely go for the extended version of the album, it's got some good bonus tracks.

Best return to form, sound like early Metallica,with a few modern updated metal stylings. If you like early Metallica get this one. Soon to be a classic. A must have. good album.

Absolutely love this double CD. First CD has most of the singles, but I can't get enough of the 2nd disc! Here Comes Revenge, Am I Savage? Spit Out the Bone... all are killer!

Awesome album, reminds me alot of classic Metallica. And I've been a fan since Ride the Lightning came out. If you haven't got it yet...what are you waiting for? GO GET IT!

My husband LOVES this! He says it is the best album Metallica has ever done and at 52, he is jumping around the house with his air guitar and head banging while listening.

Finally metallica get it right. Im an old school fan and haven't really dug anything these guys have put out in years. I can actually say thanks for a great album. bout time

I've been a fan of Metallica since day one, watching them open up for bands in the SF Bay Area. Their latest cd, gets back to their roots...hard driven metal...Bravo!!!

Listened to this album from start to finish multiple times and it never gets old. The songs are so energetic. Metallica did it again releasing yet another great album.
