Best sounding bluetooth speaker out there in the market. It easily outclasses Bose Soundlink, and crushes Beats Pill. Crystal clear highs, soothing mids, and heart pounding lows that produces breathtaking sound (for the size it got). If you are out in the market looking for some quality bluetooth speakers, please give HK Onyx Studio 2 a try. You won't turn back to anything else. Only downside - As many users have mentioned, the battery doesn't last too long. If absolute portability is your key criteria, this might not be the best fit. Otherwise it scores A+ in each and every other aspect.

My son gave this to me last year for Christmas, he is a Best Buy employee and the other employees recommended it. It is so easy to use and the sound is AMAZING!!! it is full, you can hear the different ranges (bass, treble, mid) it is solidly built and it can go really loud and still not lose clarity. I use it in house from my phone, my computer and old tablet. We use it outside while swimming. I put it on patio and we can hear it great in pool. It is the best gift I have received in years. The blue tooth works great.

I'm not big on writing reviews, but wow this speaker blew me away when I got it. I purchased it on Black Friday after I had already bought the UE boom after listening to it. Luckily we went back to best buy to get a flash drive that we forgot, and I saw a few of these still sitting in the box. Listened to it in store, and told the person helping me I wanted it right away. He grabbed me the box, I returned the UE and have never been happier. Incredible bass, crystal clear sound even with the volume all the way up, which is pretty loud. Good battery life, and also has extremely good blue tooth range.

Some how disappointed because the speaker turns off often.. Even if it's fully charge..

This speaker blew me away. It has deep bass and the pitch is very nice. It really brings out your music to the fullest. Its also light and portable so thats a plus. The ONLY complaint i have is the battery life. Its quite poor to be honest but thats not an issue for people who don't mind carrying a charger around or leaving in one place.

I bought this speaker because I was told it was the best speaker out there. Thank god I bought insurance on it because I had to exchange it 4 times because the battery never charged all 4 times. I'm still not satisfied with it and have chosen something else. This is a high priced speaker, at the least I'd like a speaker that charges.

This was my Black Friday impulse buy. Listened to it in the store and was impressed, but you know how that goes. Thought if I didn't like it, back to the store it goes. Nope...I love it! I DJ for many events and use professional grade speakers and am used to quality sound. The Onyx Studio 2 rocks!! I have a Bose Sound Dock III which I rely like - it just isn't Bluetooth compatible. I was given the Bose as a gift 3 years ago at a cost of around $250. The Harmon Kardon Onyx keeps up and surpasses the Bose in some arenas...particularly the low end bass. Warm and clear sounding. I turned around and bought another. Originally, I thought for the price I would resell the first one and make a little cash, but decided to keep it. The second one was purchase as a Christmas gift. I am going to be praised by the lucky recipient.

I thought it would be better for the pice. Did not sound as I thought it would . Would not recommend to others.

My singular complaint about this product is the documentation, or rather lack of it. I have advanced degrees in computer science and found the user interface experience requires explanation. I made multiple mistakes that could have been easily avoided had a simple one page instruction guide been included. The quick start guide has room for additional explanations of features and instructions on it. Alternately add a link to the quick start guide for where to find complete instructions online. 1) The unit turns off automatically when unplugged from power. Turning the unit back on requires you to press and HOLD the power button. 2) The micro USB port is for firmware updates only. No connectivity or charging. 3) The Auxiliary port is for input only, no output capability. It is hard to find. Many people seem to miss it, myself included. 4) No WiFi capability 5) The volume is lower when on battery power. 6) volume is relative to the volume control on the source device. When switching between sources the volume would change dramatically. While not a product fault it is annoying. I am still learning how to coordinate multiple devices, use it for making calls, and discovering other features that are not listed on the quick start guide. The build quality, sound quality and value are superior to other options at $199. I do not see a value proposition at full list price of $450 though. Conclusion: Buy it on sale for less than $200, pass at full price.

Good speaker for what I need wish the blue tooth connection didn't get interrupted as easy.

speaker sounds fine, returned it for wireless speaker...didnt care for bluetooth...

Purchased this speaker on Black Friday for $149 and it's worth every penny. It's a little on the big size but for the quality of sound you get out of it makes sense. I purchased the model that has the Mic (phone) and Aux option. I have used both and can tell you that the phone option is nice. You can answer the phone right from the speaker and it's clear on both sides of the conversation. My wife didn't even know that I had her on speaker phone. I love the fact that I don't have to compromise for either a lot of treble or bass. This speaker gives you a perfect amount of both. Pros: Sound, speaker phone option, great look. Cons: Price, if you don't get it on sale. lol

Easily the best portable speaker for the money. Better Sound quality for a fraction of the comparable SONOS speaker play 5. Add on to this that you can buy a 30 dollar Chromecast audio and you can get HIFI audio streaming just like SONOS except better for less money! FYI chromecast audio also lets you connect multiple devices together for multi room syncing so there is literally no difference between the two except the onyx sounds better and costs less...... Oh, also add the fact that this has a battery allowing it to be portable where as the sonos does not..... The best stand alone sub 200 speaker.. not even close...

The speaker has great sound. The legs broke within a week.

Originally I bought this as a gift and was gonna return it for the UE speaker. I turned it on just to see how it would sound and OMG it is IMPRESSIVE! I have never heard a sound like this coming from a wireless bluetooth speakers. I bought it around black Friday deal and for under $200 you won't find a better speaker. Try it out and you'll be surprise. It's in my kitchen now and the bass is so full and the treble is crystal clear.

Broke with in 3 weeks the legs aren't sturdy and broke. Wish I could exchange or get my money back.

Great sound ... But Bluetooth conection skips in and out. Try to return it , I was told past 15 days ..... Will never stop Best Buy again .. And will tell my friends

I'm very impressed with this speaker. With bluetooth and AUX capabilities, you can connect to anything. And, it has a great room-filling sound and very nice bass. For the price, you'll be hard matched to find something better without jumping up to the higher-end speakers that connect to wifi and several of the streaming services (Spotify, Pandora, etc). I don't think these higher end speakers are primetime ready and as far as hitching their wagons to streaming services, what happens when those services shutdown or merge with another company? I used Rdio before Spotify and Rdio shutdown last month and gave users all of 2 weeks notice to download playlists. I'm sure others will go the same route. I prefer to bluetooth in with my device and so this speaker works just great for that.
