i thought this was a okay cute coming of age story about a young man who thought of nothing but death who meets a much older woman who he gets attached to and teaches him how to learn how to live

This is one of the greatest movies ever made. I have watched it many times and can keep watching again and again. Ruth Gordon is fantastic and Bud Cort is great. The soundtrack by Cat Stevens makes it even better. You'll laugh, you'll cry and it touches the heart. 2 thumbs up

Great dark comedy, that’s both funny and heartwarming, and has a fantastic Cat Steven’s score.

My mom is the one who got me to watch this movie. Now, I'm happy to have it in my collection.

This is a movie about what is now called a cougar and cub pair. A young well to do man becomes bored with his life. That is until he meets an eccentric older woman. The two become close and eventually intimate. I originally became interested in the movie for that very reason. I had recently starting dating a much older woman myself. Someone i knew had mentioned this movie and that i should check it out. I'm glad i did. I thoroughly enjoy this film.

This is a wildly funny and absolutely heartbreaking, but simultaneously uplifting love story about a short-lived and fantastically passionate romance between Harold, a depressed teenager, and Maude, a vibrant, nearly-80-yr-old woman. I highly recommend this film. It is unusually timeless, side-splittingly funny, and able to constrict the hearts and throats of viewers with an incredibly realistic sense of mourning for the characters.

I love this movie. The suicide gags for attention are so good, a remodeled car that is now a hearse and the replanting of the tree, this is a comedy that will live on forever.

The movies is an all time classic but I wish it had a regular case not the packaging it came in.
