When this series was originally announced for broadcast, I was very excited about it. Despite getting yanked around a bit by CBS during its summer run, I was able to see it all and thoroughly enjoyed it. I've also enjoyed watching it again; even though I already know the twist in the next-to-last episode, I still enjoy watching the story unfold and trying to fill in how it plays out, knowing what will happen. The set has a few nice bonus features, including some so-called 'webisodes', Internet based content that was available at the time of the broadcast. I had not seen that originally at the time, so it was nice to add it along with the show itself. I'm not totally sure how much significance there is to how it is subtitled "The DVD Edition". It is listed as unrated, so there may be more graphic content that had to be cut for CBS on air. I don't have original recordings to compare. But to me it still has the fun feel from its first airing.

Harper's Island was a new inventive way to bring the horror genre to tv. I was really intrigued by the storyline and how everything started to come together. I thought that the character development was great. Every single character you actually either cared about or hated. The mystery surrounding the story was very cleverly done, keeping you on the edge of your seat and guessing until the very end. In my opinon, I thought the producers were going to have a hard time to deal with the violence since it was a horror show, but they didn't dissapoint with the killings which were pretty violent and gruesome. The show was very inventive but it was too bad that it could only be a one season deal. CBS to a great job producing this one. I will by it, most definitely.

Harper's Island is the best horror event I have ever seen and I can't wait to own it on DVD. I loved this show on-the-air and will love it on DVD. This show made me laugh, jump, scream in fear and anger, and cry. Harper's Island succeeded in doing what slasher horror movies failed to do: develop character relations, provide an intriguing storyline, and put characters against each other in a way that makes me want to keep watching. I was shocked by the ending. I was brought to tears by one death in particular. I had dreams of this series. I LOVE IT!!!!

I enjoyed the item and would recommend it to a friend if they love a good murder mystery. I would also recommend purchasing it from Best Buy online because it was hard to find at local retailers. Their shipping was inexpensive and I received it in no time at all.

This is my all-time favorite series EVER. I knew since the previews I would love this show and I've see every episode since #1. Once I got on DVD, everyday I watch it. AMAZING Claudette Mink (Katherine Wellington) is the best by the way

I love Harper's Island. I watched all of it on T.V. And now, I will defiently buy the season. It is so awesome. I reccomend to anyone who loves thrillers.
