Super nice figure to collect for a super Star Wars fan

By far the best Episode 4 Darth Vader figure available The cardboard has a very nostalgic look and the cardboard insert stand is a replica of the old "12 back" 1978 original action figure cards. Absolutely love it. I took one star off because the box was a little scuffed...which may discourage collectors. Fast shipping and it was well packed...guessing it was over-stacked somewhere. Not in horrible shape, just a little indent and scraping on the top front of the package.

Awesome old school remake of the email away original Star Wars action figure set. Very very cool to display and put one away. Only thing I don't like about Best Buy's order online then pick up is... They put a stupid sticker right on the collectible box!!! Wish could get around that somehow??

This is a fantastic 6" Darth Vader figure - it puts the previous release to shame. The display bases are nice - I have not used the backdrop portion of it, but the base parts help the figures stand. I'd recommend this solely for the figure, but the bases are a nice bonus.

I picked this up for $9.99, which makes it worth it (actually, I'd pay upwards of $15 for it) - it's a great "Black Series" Vader figure, what you'd expect. However, the included paper diorama background thing is kind of useless - it panders to people's nostalgia, but isn't particularly useful. At the original retail price of $39.99, you're basically paying $20 more for a cheap, cardboard backing board .

Simply put, this is an updated kit 40 years after the original and it's a fantastic treat for the fans old and new. The artwork on the box is the same water color artwork from 1977 and as a whole, it's a thoughtful nod to collectors new and old. Definitely worth buying.

Essential collectible for any Star Wars fan. Darth Vader in his best form.

I was extremely excited to receive this item. I bought it as a git for myself. My only complaint on this highly anticipated gift was that there was a bit of a crease on one of the edges of the factory packaging. Seeing that this was a store pickup, I was not lucky enough for the best buy to have another to switch out. Oh well, still an awesome buy!!

I bought this for my three year old son, he doesn't know how cool it really is, but he still loves it. Lots of articulated joints and even the box is cool. Plus its held up to his man handling of all toys .

It was the right price. Originally $40, it was $10 at bestbuy. I had already picked up a mint item and wanted one to open and this was it. The dude that helped me was awesome and knows customer service.

Nice toy for display celebrating 40 years of star wars

I'm old enough to remember the original Kenner early bird pack I got for Xmas 1978, so this was a kick to relive and pass on to the next generation. Plus the action figures with the Kenner backings are awesome!

The force is strong with the Vader figure as it's one of the Black Series 6 inch line. I have no idea why Hasbro packaged this backdrop for the 40th anniversary set as it nowhere near does the toys justice.

Was able to order upon first release of this Special Edition of the Original Star Wars 12 figures issued for Star Wars: A New Hope. Didn't have to drive around to different stores in hopes finding one.

This was a another great addition to my Star Wars collection in my office. I love the old Kenner Star War toys look and I can't wait to get a few more figures to add with Darth Vader.
