What I hoped it would be

It assembled easily and, despite somewhat lightweight components, is suitably solid. Nicely finished, and also impressive to see how they designed it to fit compactly in the shipping box.

Great place to put your shoes when you come in

It’s perfect for the small area I had. I also like how the smaller shelf fits underneath the larger it make it look nice & tighty since my 2 oldest ones moved out.

Quality control lacking.

But the pilot holes for the screws don’t line up perfectly. As a result, the thin bamboo strips CRACK and split as you are tightening the included screws. I had to use my drill on a couple of them to prevent further splitting on a couple of the holes. It all doesn’t line up perfectly either.
