    Overall does the job

I purchase this shoe rack and it was a hassle trying to assemble it. Quality is not the best, the wood has a lot of splinters and you have to be really careful. Took me almost an hour to complete it, but it does the job and looks nice. I painted it so it can go with my house theme.

For the price it's good. Unfinished wood, very light pine (maybe?), had a few small spilts when I was putting it together (actually earlier tonight). But it will serve it's purpose, and I'm considering staining it, or painting it in the near future. I don't think you could make one for the price you pay for this. So tweak it a little after the build and it should last many years, unless of course you have teenagers.

Not a bad lil shoe rack. Sturdy enough. Bought 3 for a closet shoe rack and put them together. Plain wood needed some life, so spray painted too.

Very easy to put together, and it’s also sturdy. I’m really satisfied with my purchase. Used it for storage instead of shoes.

Not a High End piece of furniture

It is a very light weight piece of furniture. The wood is unfinished. I took a piece of fine sand paper to smooth the edges down. You must be very careful when you put the screws in or you will split the wood. I got what I paid for ....

For a plant stand with light plants, it works great. I'm not using it as a shoe rack. THIS IS VERY VERY VERY FRAIL thin wood. I mean i had to place it where I wanted and carefully placed plants on it. NOT RECOMMENDED FOR ANYTHING BUT SHOES? ITS VERY LIGHTWEIGHT< A HAIRBRUSH WEIGHS MORE THAN THIS THING PUT TOGETHER> but I do like it for my intended use-plant stand. light and small planters though, as it will not hold much.

Was kind of a pain to put together. Especially considering how flimsy the wood is, you really do have to be careful. This rack is not going to absorb much wear and tear before breaking in my opinion. That said...for the price? It definitely assembles and acts as a shoe rack. It also does look rather nice from afar. I just can't see this rack being a long term solution for anyone. I'm afraid if I stare at it long enough it will disintegrate.

The wood shoe rack works for me it’s just the right size for a closet. Fits about 12-16 pairs of shoes. Price was good. I like it. Easy to set up too.

Don’t know why this had bad reviews unless the writers don’t know how to use a drill. The instructions may say to use a screwdriver, but it’s a 5 minute setup with drill. Don’t go too hard or I can see how it’s possible to strip the wood (it’s not very dense). Still, it’s durable and looks great and I got it for a great price. It sits in my entryway & has endured upward of 8 pairs of shoes (including hiking boots).

Some of the wood split as I was installing the screw in, You definitely can't take this apart and put it back together again but it worked well enough for the purpose that I needed it for.. As long as it doesn't fall apart.

So far it’s holding up but it’s not strong at all. Any slight pressure and it’s going to collapse. We only have some fuzzy blanket on top and like 4 pairs of shoes. We don’t want to push it farther then that.

They are easy to put together and smell good but are relatively cheap. I’m not sure if you could use them for anything besides shoes. I had a coupon from other purchases at BB so it was a good deal.

Very fragile but sturdy enough for what we need. While they tell you not to use a drill, if you don't drill pilot holes, the screws will split the wood.

This was not the easiest to put together as some of the slats just did not want to go where they were supposed to. However, it just the job it's supposed to and it looks pretty good (even though it is hidden in the closet). It's hard to argue with the price.

Oh my geez..I bought two of these. Ugh. Probably better off using wood glue to put it together instead of the screws provided. The wood split easily. I will say one split was because I angled the screw a bit off. A piece was already split before I even touched it. I didn’t even put the X crossing on the back as the placement was just awkward. I will use wood glue on the second shelf and if my shoes are in a pile after one use, I will have a small bonfire. Maybe roast one marshmallow as the wood is super thin. Don’t buy it.

It looks nice but is a little more flimsy than expected. The pre-drilled holes didn’t line up perfectly do the wood cracked some.

I like it. It's for an adult room. It serves its purpose as being lightweight furniture that is sturdy. FYI Wood is not smooth nor glossy, so be careful of possible splinters! Wood shavings end up on hands and floor while assembling.
