    This toys' most spectacular thing is the 'hatching'. After that it seems as if the hatchimal just kind of does it's own thing regardless of how you are 'caring' for it. Plus there are too many actions and responses to be plausible for a child to play with. It's fun, but don't expect to build a working relationship.

    I purchased this for my 9 year old granddaughter. We had so much fun waiting for this to hatch. The colors were vibrant and this toy has brought a lot of laughter to my granddaughter.

    The egg shell on top is a little bit deceiving. Its just a cover, the egg inside is smaller. My daughter still loves it though. It was cool watching it hatch.
