horrible performance with a PS3

Good but not great
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this for my PS3 and while it's good, it's not great. I previously had a Dazzle DVR that only recorded in 480. This is able to get 1080 (and helped me find out my old TV was only a 720), but the downside is whatever you record is what you're stuck with. The editing software is very basic, you can't cut up parts of the video without creating separate files for each section of the video. There's barely any effects available when it comes to editing. If you want to use it to stream videos, it's perfect for that. Other than that, it doesn't do much. I'd prefer an El Gato instead knowing what I know now. Heck, even the Dazzle had better editing software.

Not good for the PS3

Initially when I hooked it up I would hve the TV screen go black for 3-5 seconds every few minutes. Long and short, I returned this product 4 different times, tried it with 2 different PS3 models and 2 separate TV's, all with the same result. Needless to say I am returning it today and will try a different brand.

Not what it seems
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Box says it is for X Box, PS3 and PS4, however, we have a PS4 and it would not load because the CD software and the installation instructions are for only the PS3 and Xbox. AFter 2 hours or messing with it, troubleshooting, and reviewing online on their companys website we boxed it up and took it back to purchase the Elgato.. Disappointing for Christmas. So, bottom line, the box says one thing, but the software and instructions is another thing,...
