I love this dvd I rate it the highest Excellent shows that I have always loved

From beginning to end a very we’ll written crime drama show

I love this old show, still as good as ever. A must watch,

I watched as a kid and enjoyed it then, jack lord was great

Despite the less than high tech quality, you get your money's worth just with the pilot movie in its original format and with a special tribute to the show that was done on a Hawaiian TV station in 1996. One of the hosts was James MacArthur. If those two alone aren't worth the price, then the two part "Once Upon a Time" episode will definitely make you say "money well spent!" This is a very compelling story in which McGarrett goes after a quack "doctor" who exploits his sister with false hopes of curing her baby's cancer. This is a personal effort on his part, as his sister lives in California therefore he has no jurisdiction there. IMHO this is one of the best TV episodes of any series of this era. It has relevance today as well. You also get some glimpses of past and future TV stars. Johnny Crawford who played Mark on The Rifleman plays a soldier on R&R from Viet Nam in one ep. Gavin McLeod, later to be the Captain of The Love Boat, plays a drug dealer nailed by McGarrett in one ep, then he reprises the role as that dealer in prison when McGarrett negotiates a hostage crisis there.

Really good quality picture and sound and easily converted to full screen. It was great to watch this classic show again.

Great series,and excellent video and audio.Like the new series ok,too.But only one Jack Lord! I'm collecting the series. Might be somewhat slanted in my statements though.I was in Hawaii when the show was filmed in the late 60's and early 70's! Buy 'um,Danno....!

I was so glad to see they are bringing the Hawaii Five O back out on DVD as I watched as a teenager and until they went into syndication.

I like the many extras along with the complete first season of shows.
