Admittedly I remain partial to Season Four, having been an extra in its Halloween themed episode and I am not sure how the excellent Pearl Harbor episode could ever be topped, but Season Five continued to meet the high bar that had been set. A key to the continuing success of the current Hawaii Five-0 is its included character development emphasizing the principles of O-Hana, or family. I believe it really starts with the way the show is produced and the way the producers, crew and actors themselves work together as a family in bringing the show to us. As I mentioned in my review of Season Four in relating my experience as a "costumed guest with upscale car" and my role in exiting and interacting with actors Scott Caan (Danno) and Alex O'Loughlin (McGarrett) on the Party Bus, "The courtesy and respect that the two principal actors showed to those of us who were fans/extras remains memorable. Likewise the crew, beginning with costuming and continuing all the way to shooting, treated us well and made us feel like an integral part of the show." A special treat in the Fifth Season Hawaii Five-0 DVD set is the feature on the 100th Episode that aired during the season titled, "Five-0 x 100." Then too there are the deleted scenes, commentaries on selected episodes, and my favorite, the Gag Reel. I am pleased to see the "O-Hana" emphasis continues into the present season as an upcoming episode has the Task Force team enjoying a friendly competition dressed in their mud bath stained tops that are emblazoned with the words "Five-0Hana."

Really fun series with an excellent cast, though I will say the show often makes Hawaii look like the most violent place on earth.

"Hawaii Five-O" takes on its fifth season with 25 action-packed episodes on and off the Hawaiian Islands. The returning core cast gets a full time addition in Jorge Garcia as Jerry Ortega. The show's basic case of the week premise gets boosted by some longer story arcs, including one in which Danny gets a very unfortunate trip to Columbia courtesy of his brother, the effects of which will last several episodes. McGarrett has a long-awaited final confrontation with Wo Fat. Kono will get a marriage proposal and, maybe, a wedding, if she can keep the expected guests alive long enough to get them there. Chin gets enmeshed in yet another Internal Affairs tangle. There's plenty of action, along with the tangled storylines fans have come to expect, and who would want to miss the priceless interaction between McGarrett and Captain Lou Grover (Chi McBride), two law men who just don't see eye-to-eye. This reviewer really enjoyed a couple of the late season episodes. In one, Kono is stranded at sea and must rely on survival skills taught her by her mother. In another, preparations for Kono's wedding are interrupted by the frantic search for a missing tactical nuclear weapon. Anyway, it's all good fun, and recommended to fans of the series.

You cant go wrong with this tv show it is packed with action and adventure a must to your collection

I started watching this to see if it was similar to the original but it is so much better.

If you're a fan of the show and you've stuck with it this long, you'll enjoy season 5. Hawaii Five-0 also always have a good collection of special features if you need a reason to own the show on DVD.

Missed much of the season so this set was great value.

The production value of this show is impressive - they do a great job with action sequences, and they really showcase the beauty of the islands. The writers have come up with plots that have unexpected twists and turns. The main cast is great- no surprise there- but some support characters are featured as well- Dr. Shaw no ka oi.

I really enjoy watching this show and can't wait til it comes out on dvd. I don't have regular television. I hope the show continues with great success. I think the cast is great together. Even if you watched the older show of same name, this is totally different. Give it a try and you will be hooked.

Grew up watching the old Hawaii 5-0 and was skeptical that this reboot would live up to expectations, I have been pleasantly surprised and have purchased each season as it becomes available. Perfect blend of character development, slapstick humor and action.

Pretty self explanatory. I love the show. Therefore, I love this product! As far as quality, the Blu-Ray is nice. If you've never watched it and want to know more about it before purchasing, the series is on Netflix. It's a good crime show based in Hawaii.

It's a series that takes great action and engaging story to a paradise setting. Fast-paces when it needs to be, but knows when to pause for moments that need it. I've enjoyed this series since its 1st season. I'm looking for to.the next.

Grew up watching the original series. Nice to see updated version with fresh characters and story lines. Just the right blend of action and comedy. Plus you get some nice shots of the scenery in and around this beautiful island.

This DVD set is an excellent addition for any Hawaii Five-0 fan's collection! Great extras! Excellent quality transfer! This season's stories were great. Dangling plots were resolved, new ones begun. Highly recommended. Aloha!

"Hawaii Five-0" is about as repetitious as it gets, but if you enjoy the clever banter between the two leads you'll get your money's worth from season 5. It looks good on DVD, though I wish they'd had the Blu-ray in stock. (I have those versions of the first 3 seasons.) I still prefer the original series, especially the classy guest stars, but this one works well on its own terms.

All episodes will get your eyes glued to the tv!!! The cast relationship on act, its hilarious esp between Dany and Steve Dr Max humor and not forgetting Kamekona Shrimp business ❤️❤️❤️

I collect this series so naturally I bought this season. I love the locale and McGarrett is definitely easy on the eyes! I hope this show continues for a long time. It's definitely fun to watch!

Great remake series. I love the relationship between Steve and Danny...like an old married couple! This team of four should stay together throughout. Great action and very easy on the eyes.

We started watching this series out of nostalgia for the old series, and discovered a really enjoyable new series! Great actors, and interesting story lines each week. Love this series!

Discs have an appropriate number of extras, but would always like more. Ep. 5:17 Kuka'awale is a a very funny show with Steve and Danny on a stakeout in a cat lady's apartment.
