Great series. I find Hazel an uplifting, inspiring character, as she does everything with such love, plus she's blasting the class prejudices and negative expectations about maids by being her own person, expressing her opinions, and sees herself not as a mere maid but as a member of the family who is a positive influence and role model and plays a sort of motherly role to the whole family. She sees herself as taking good care of the family, as opposed to a mere employee pushing a broom. Plus she's much more than a maid, as she cooks, helps with their child, and helps them with various problems. She's similar in role to the maid on the Brady Bunch, except that Hazel gets more deeply involved and has a bubbly warmth and motherly nature about her that expresses in unique ways. She's fascinating to observe.
I would recommend this to a friend
