    Part 2 of Alec Baldwin's 1996 Trifecta

The second of three awesome movies starring Alec Baldwin in 1996, Heaven's Prisoners is a funny, scary, action-packed, mystery that takes palace in the humid Louisiana bayou. Baldwin plays Dave Robicheaux, a sober retired cop who takes to fishing. A plane crashes mere feet away from his boat one day and the detective instincts in Dave push him to investigate this odd event. He is promptly drawn into the world of drug smuggling that he had retired from so long ago. Heaven's Prisoners is written well, giving us several unique and relatable characters. The villains are cruel, but exactly the type of villain you like to see get their comeuppance. The heroes, all making sacrifices and staying true to their cause, are worthy of your support. Each actor truly becomes the character he or she plays. In the end, you're a little disturbed, a little sad, but mostly relieved that the heroes finally get a break. This is a great movie. A gem from 1996. It's absolutely worth having in your collection.
