$8 on blu-ray is an absolute steal for this classic animated rock n roll classic, just the songs for the soundtrack make this a must have

A nice collection of short stories that tie into a central theme. The animation is amazing for it's time. Not for kids though.

Not for children! Cartoon for adults! Drugs-SEX and Rock and Roll! Animation by hand! They don’t make them like this anymore!

Great to see this cult classic available in blu-ray. Based on the original fantasy magazine, these 5-6 stories tell of a strange green orb that can be mankind's greatest threat. Some of the best early animated effects (remember - this was 1981 - not the current wave and schlock of pixar nonsense) . Noteworthy in this bunch is the tale where a taxi driver gets more than what he bargains for; a WWII pilot experiences a true horror in the air as well as on land; a female warrior (sole survivor of a dying race) out to avenge her ancestry with LETHAL FORCE. Backed by a great film soundtrack from the likes of Cheap Trick, Black Sabbath, Grand Funk Railroad, Devo, Don Felder (Yes - that Don Felder from the Eagles), Stevie Nicks and so many others. Get ready for a ride of your senses - both eyes and your ears cuz this is HEAVY METAL MAN.......

Hadn’t seen this since in 20 years. Trippy, fantasy animation anthology with a hard rock soundtrack. Based on the Euro Science fiction magazine, Heavy Metal.

Wonderful transfer, picture and sound are top notch. The music will blow you out of the room.

Real good old school movie a few short story's that all have one strange connection

First time I've seen it after getting it from Bestbuy. What a different movie. Its a teens scifi fantasy. The cheesiest lines I've ever heard throughout a movie. Very creative. Loud 80s rock songs for being based in future. Bright colors on bluray, but still fairly grainy. Wouldn't recommend buying it unless you've already seen it and like it. To me its nothing special. Just over the top, like Ghost Rider 2.

Good music, and a good story line. It's a good way to spend a couple of hours.

My VHS is not working properly anymore. My Millennial daughter enjoyed this too.
