Really good movie. Even better sequel. Highly recommended.

This disc has the regular release version of the fim and the Director's Cut. If you are a fan of the film you want t watch the Director's Cut. It has a bunch of small bits that fill in some of the holes in the plot and makes for a better film. The 4k HDR is very nice. Makes for a much crisper and beautiful film experience. It is not just a fad, like 3d. It does make a difference. (Especially if you have one of the new giant tv sets.)

Despite John Hurt's presence this is no Oscar movie, but if your watching this movie you probably don't want it to be. Ron Perlman is awesome as Hellboy and the supporting cast works very well. No need for deep thought on this movie, just sit back, grab the popcorn, and enjoy.

This movie may not be perfect but it sure is awesome.

I love this flick, I love the apocalyptic feel of del Toro's vision for the events transpiring, as well as the otherworldly...er, underworldly feel for his monsters. It creates a genuine sense of dread if you place yourself in the hypothetical position. As a matter of fact, if del Toro ever decides to do a Cthulhu mythos movie, sign me up now, because I think he would be one of the few people to truly get the feeling for the universe correct!

I absolutely love the Hellboy movies and although I’m skeptical about remakes or just movies I like, now staring new actors...but this version of Hellboy was AWESOME!!! Nimue was a very interesting twist into this movie. Lots of betrayal the world on the verge of collapse and ending. It’s a must watch! I’m looking forward to a sequel with this version!

I enjoyed this movie when it came out and I still do. Its not an academy award winner or anything, but if you enjoy superhero movies or action movies in general then you will enjoy Hellboy. If nothing else, it is different than Marvel or DC and contains some delightfully weird characters. The steelbook is really nice and looks cool, which is the main reason anyone would spend real money on an old movie at this point.

Hellboy is a great lesser known comic book anti hero and everything about this movie was done with great detail. From make up to incredible CGI effects, Del Toro must love this comic, because it shows in every frame of film. Best picture I have seen and the Dolby atmosphere is very immerse. Great movie.

In some ways, this is the perfect example of a comic book movie prior to the darkness and shared universes that began in 2008. It's not a groundbreaking film (or actually perfect), but it's got a good heart and practical effects that give it an identity all its own. The 4K presentation is near perfect (especially with Hellboy's closeups), and the audio is powerful. The cover art is perfect for the steelbook treatment, as well, given the beauty of the titular character on the front and the B.P.R.D. logo on the back.

I was waiting for a Steelbook version of the first Hellboy movie that includes the Blu-Ray, DVD and digital copy. They gave that treatment to the second film first, which made little sense; so I was pleased to finally see this one on the shelves. Basic special features (aka, nothing new), but at this price point, it's well worth having if you liked the two films. Nice new artwork too.

Interesting storyline that includes Hellboy's origin. Some of the characters were very cartoonish and did not seem realistic, more like a kiddie cartoon. The smoldering romance was cute and well played out until the end of the movie. You can't help but root for the two to get together at the end after all the battles and mayhem. Very entertaining film after you suspend reality.

I really like the story of Hellboy, because it is very unique. It takes you into an underground word of superheroes that just sucks you in, and leaves you wanting more. This movie is really funny, and Perlman IS Hellboy. He brings so much more to this movie, and it is just awesome. Also, I really love the pop art cover, it makes it feel more comic booky,, and I dig that.

I've always loved the Hellboy movies. It's my favorite of Del Toro's movies. If your not familiar with his work, be warned it is a little out there, but if you like his other movies you will like this. It's more of an action movie than a horror movie, but it borrows elements from both genres. Definitely worth a watch if you like action-fantasy movies.

Found this gem on sale. Awesome that best buy carries the steelbooks and even discounts them. Good quality steelbook and even better movie.

Hellboy was one of those movies that took me by surprise when I seen it for the first time. It has some amazing cinematography and everything from the costumes to acting is great. I happen to enjoy Hellboy more than its sequel from a visual standpoint and story as well. The video will amaze you with the great colors and the audio is excellent as well catching every oddity that is brought forth by director Guillermo del Toro. The extras were rather average but were a solid addition. You will be very pleased with what is brings to your home theater. I HIGHLY recommend picking this title up.

This is a absoluteky gorgeous steelbook and the transfer is awesome on this edition! Highly recommend grabbing this one if you can.
