Excellent Hellboy origin movie and much better than the remake. The video and audio is superb!

This movie was much better than the recent Hellboy. Ron Perlman was born to play Hellboy.

Great movie, great steelbook, great action, and great software. You never see thoughtout menus for modern disc releases, but with this, they had a custom comicbook style menu made. It also comes with the theatrical and directors cuts of the movie which is just great. If you want to see Hellboy, this is probably the best way to watch it.

Del Toro's classic comic book movie. Great audio and video and loaded with special features.

I couldn't find in 4K, but I wanted to watch this again after watching the new version.

I owned this film on Bluray and bought it on 4k simply because I love it that much. Hellboy does have its negatives, but those are overshadowed by the action, the adventure, the darkness, the paranormal, and the laughs. The acting is superb, and I still see Perlman as Hellboy, not David Harbour (although he is still an awesome actor). The practical effects are mind-blowing while the CG seems too animated, bit goofy. Regardless, you don't have to be a fan of the comics to enjoy this!

New formats mean a chance for already released films to be re-released and more money for the movie studios. This release is a step up from the previous Blu-ray in sound and picture. If you are a Hellboy fan then it’s a definite recommendation. If you’ve never owned this film and you have a 4K TV, then this is the version to get. If you do not have a 4K set up and already own the previous release then it’s not a huge recommendation to get this version.
