My daughter needed some headphones for school. (She's in first grade for anyone considering these for their kids.) She saw the Hello Kitty design and wanted these. They were on sale so they were reasonably priced. The option I particularly liked was the built in volume control which I thought would be more convenient than trying to find the volume controls on the computer she would be using. I did note that they were not volume limited, like most headphones made for children, so that was another plus for the in-line volume wheel. When she tried them on at home, we learned that all of the included ear cups, even the smallest ones, were still too big for her small ears. So they had a tendency to fall out. But we kept them since she will be able to grow into them. I gave them a try and they're reasonable for general listening. Sound quality isn't dramatic but it's clear and I didn't detect any distortion at volume. Bass is fine but not deep. Since they're not made for kids specifically, they were reasonably loud for adults when turned up. I doubt the volume wheel is made to handle heavy use but seems sturdy enough. I'd say these were made more for tweens and up and not for those under 10.

These are some great headphones! The volume control is a nice add-on, I must say.
