A fun, bloody-good slasher from the late 80's that's a sequel to the Jamie Lee Curtis original in name only. I saw this flick for the first time when I was in junior high school at a slumber party and it fit the bill perfectly. Today I watch it with equal parts cheesy joy and nostalgia. Great for the jr. higher in all of us or for just killing a late evening with some mindless fun. The movie itself is about a supernatural haunt of a high school's prom with the evil ghost of a prom night disaster in the past coming back to get her "rightful" crown as prom queen during the prom of her persecutors teen children. Lots of bloody set pieces and a fair amount of nudity. What more could a jr. higher want? The acting, directing and writing are good enough. What more could a bored adult want? Over all, a fun flick.
