It's a fantastic look at how we choose to define ourselves -- as long as you're open-minded enough to tolerate the scenario itself.

I enjoyed this movie and have recommended to other friends. With social media and our "need" for better and smarter technology, this is an interesting spin on the direction in which our society could go. It's not a doom and gloom 1984 take. It's relateable and light hearted.

Joaquin Phoenix is the rare actor who can make just about any role believable. The way he draws you in and makes you feel like this could actually happen is remarkable. Very interesting concept and well written story. Definitely worth the time to watch, you won't regret it.

Great story about an everyday man going through a tough time in his life. He finds comfort in the oddest of places and becomes intrigued and somehow connected to something that seems perfect. A look at life, the fragility of one's emotions and how much we can learn from a machine. Brilliant and funny, unforgetable.

really great acting, no surprise here. and the movie is beautifully filmed. make sure you watch this when you can give it your absolute attention because i watched it later on at night and fell asleep a few times (because of tiredness, not the moving being boring)

An excellent, odd, and touching performance from Joaquin Phoenix in this very good film. It's quiet, touching, inventive, although perhaps a bit problematic w/r/t its representation of female sexuality. Otherwise, though, a worthwhile film about loss.

Though there have been movies that touch on the subject of an AI becoming aware, I have not seen any that approach the subject of them transcending. I find this to be unique and thought provoking. I enjoyed the movie and have actually recommended it.

There are no words to describe how amazing this movie is. It’s such a beautiful story and it’s a feel-happy kind of movie. Scarlet Johansson and Joaquin Phoenix did such a great job with their roles. So did everyone. There is no way to hate this movie!

I've been a fan of Spike Jonze's for a long time, and his films get better & better with every new release. Great cinematography, story, characters, acting, setting... not much more you can really ask for from a movie. Definitely check it out if you love any of his past works. :)

This movie sounds bizarre on paper, but it works thanks to Jonze's assured writing and direction. Joaquin Phoenix is great as the lead, and Scarlet Johannsen in a voice-only role makes you care about a character that you would never expect. It's odd, yes, but beautiful.

...and that's a good part of the charm. Once you've seen it, you'll understand that it clearly isn't for everyone, but I feel it succeeds in what it sets out to do, and does ask a lot of good questions. Very enjoyable.

Joaquin is superb as a shy, introverted, nerdy nobody that gravitates to anything that allows him to remain a shy, introverted, nerdy nobody. Sad and even somewhat silly as a story but riveting as a depiction of quality acting.

What boundaries does love know? Can an entity absent of the oxy, serotonin, and dopamine which creates the sensations we so cherish know such a delight? The "cat" scene is one of the most hilarious ever filmed. The cinematography is, to put it simply, stunning.

It's hard to believe that one of the main stars of this film is just a voice, but Scarlet Johansson does an amazing job bringing a computer to life. Great acting by her and Joaquin Phoenix make this a very dramatic story about love. Highly recommended.

Joaquin Phoenix steals the show here with his performance. For the majority of the film he is onscreen alone, yet you never lose touch of the message the film is trying to send. Scarlett Johansen is equally as impressive as the voice of the ai system. Great movie!

Although Scarlett is not in the movie visually, she is the star along with Joaquin. There are a couple of good character roles played by Amy Adams, Olivia Wilde, and others. Kinda sci-fi-ish, but very grounded as well.

Phoenix is great as a divorced man dealing with being lonely. The story's concept is very much different from the rest of the romantic dramas. It isn't for everyone but fans of great acting will appreciate this movie.

This is a good movie, plot it's original and creative , Joaquin role it's play to perfection, in my opinion, the only thing it's the movie trend to slow down couples of times, but in general , I recommend it.

A very moody, deep and brain-twitching film. Be prepared to ask yourself a big question at the end of it. Great acting work, great cinematography and a grandiose message. Much more than your usual artificial intelligence sci-fi opera.

It was great to make you think about how relationships can change and move more in the direction of interactive. Even looking at the wardrobe or scenery was very interesting. Very big fan of Amy Adams.
