I have been in the market for a entry level DJ control pad as I have getting more into DJ'ing this year. I decided to try out this pad as it was within my price range where I didn't want to spend thousands when trying to get into this market. Setup was very easy and was very impressed with out light it was out of the box. It was packaged well and easy to setup / install the software. The power brick is kinda bulky however understandable as it keeps the unit light. The available plugs for setup includes all the standards like XLR's , RCA , mic and USB. I am glad the headphones jack is easily accessible without having to be hovering over the pad. As for what software to use I recommend using Serato Demo , I enjoyed their library and great for entry level play. I used this during my last gig, I was impressed with how great the Fade and cutting was on the device. There is very minimal drift upon the record and really love the pads setting. The color scheme was very impressive and really enjoyed the spinning platter placements. It is unfortunate that unable to use the 12in or 10in vinyl's however thats not a large deal for myself. I have quiet a few 7in records and with the choice of slip mats it works out either way.
Overall this is an amazing product and strongly recommended for anyone looking to get their foot into the DJ world. The abilities of this device and the options it allows was very impressive with the price point it is currently at.

Modern mixing, classing DJing

The Hercules DJControl Inpulse T7 marks a significant step forward for aspiring DJs, blending the classic feel of vinyl with the advantages of digital control. The motorized platters, simulating the experience of 33⅓ RPM turntables, offer an authentic DJing experience. The included felt slipmats are a notable addition, enhancing the tactile interaction with the decks and contributing positively to the overall mixing experience.
This controller pairs well with Serato DJ Lite and DJUCED®, both included, offering a range of features that cater to both beginners and experienced DJs. The Beatmatch Guide and Intelligent Music Assistant in DJUCED, along with Autoplay in Serato, are particularly helpful for those new to the craft. However, I encountered some initial challenges in getting the software to recognize the hardware, requiring adjustments in the sound settings on my Windows 11 system – a known issue that Serato is actively addressing.
The T7's design is both practical and innovative. The retractable feet are a clever addition, allowing for easy laptop placement and cable management during sets. The motorized platters are a standout feature, providing a smooth and responsive feel akin to traditional turntables. The ease of adjusting the amplitude of the crossfader and the comprehensive FX section further enhance the controller's versatility.
In terms of performance, the T7 excels with its solid build quality and responsive controls. The tactile feedback from the buttons and knobs is reassuring, and the motorized platters add a level of realism that is hard to find in this price range. The use of solid-state drives is recommended for smoother performance, especially when handling larger audio files.
Pros:
Authentic turntable feel with motorized platters
Retractable feet for convenient laptop placement
Adjustable crossfader and comprehensive FX section
Solid build quality and responsive controls
Compatible with Serato DJ Lite and DJUCED®
Cons:
Known hardware recognition issues that are currently being investigated
No tutorials available on the manufacturer's website
Overall, the Hercules DJControl Inpulse T7 is a commendable choice for those stepping into the world of DJing, offering a blend of traditional feel and modern functionality. While there are some setup challenges, the overall experience is rewarding, making it a worthy investment for budding DJs.

Upon receiving this I was worried because of how light the box was. I thought that perhaps this was the wrong product or perhaps something was wrong. A turntable is usually associated with weight and being hefty and bulky. Surprisingly this turntable is not like that at all.
This turntable is a good beginner DJ turntable. At this price point you won’t find all these great features for the money. Its small and compact so great if you are doing house parties or backyard events. The rotating platter is a plus because it gives you that true vinyl feel. It comes with real slip mats and real vinyl’s. You can even put your own custom 45’s on the platter. The motor torque is good but would be better if they had a low/high torque adjustment. You must use a little extra pressure to do like a “spin back”. It is a bit too tight for my taste. It is great for scratching though. The fx while “scratching” or using the “spin back” feature adds to some great extra effects. The fx placement reminds me of the pioneer turntables. You can add 3 effects from each deck and program/change them through Serato or Djuiced. You can even adjust the depth of each of the effects. You can also select 1 or all 3 fx on the deck to give some versatility. I love the built in “stems.” You have a quick isolation button for the vocals and instrumentals on the decks or you can hit the “stems” mode button so that you have more isolation options. I have a short table that I put it on but these this controller has legs that open from the bottom to give you a few inches of height that gives me the extra height boost I need with my low table. I’m not worried about the faders going bad and becoming useless because they are upgradable. There are some things that I would have liked added like “line in”, “low, mid, high” mic adjustments, crossfader slope, and I would like it to be slightly larger. What really sucks is that it comes with Serrato lite and you must pay to subscribe to Serrato Pro. Overall for the price I cannot complain because it gets the job done and does not “break the bank”.
:::Pros & Cons:::
Pros:
- Real vinyl platters
- Stem support
- Compact
- Lightweight
- Feature rich for the price
Cons:
- Serrato is not included (only a trial)
:::TL;DR:::
The Hercules T7 cannot be beat. It is not perfect but it does not need to be at the price it is sold for and all the features it has. It is perfect for a beginner like myself that is learning new things everyday.

This is such a cool controller, and it’s definitely easy for a beginner and more! Upon opening the box I’m met by a pretty decently sized dj controller/turntable; not large but definitely not a small unit which is great for me to begin my journey. The black brushed metal finish around the platters looks nice but I quickly found out it’s actually plastic. I, and my kids, love the colors of the cue buttons (though I know that’s not majorly important, but it matters to some people). For stability, the T7 has retractable feet which have a “sticky” feel to them, making sure your controller stays in place. But having the ability to extend or retract then gives you a bit of range depending on your preference and setup.
The T7 comes with a good amount of sound and fx options to start with. You have your standard master controls, headphone and mic controls, treble, mods and lows, along with filters along with fx sets for each platter with 3 built-in fx per side, along with depth control. You also have the ability to upgrade the fader! So, if you need a bit more durability for your cross and channel faders, you have the option to upgrade to premium faders. The one offered by Hercules has a gold-plated faceplate, if that’s up your alley. There’s also the lovely beatmatch guide (which I’ve personally found EXTREMELY helpful. Each deck also comes with 8 cue buttons along with a hot cue, loop, stems, and sampler buttons. Also included are 2-7” vinyls and 2 slip mats. I thought there would be 2 thickness options of slip mats but I only received one set.
The connections provided are XLR master out (left and right), RCA outputs, a mic input, and your USB connection for your laptop. Unfortunately, there’s not an option for a direct USB connection for a thumb drive. You also receive access to Serato and DJUICED for software options.
Now, for my thoughts….this is a very easy and straightforward controller which almost anyone can grasp instantly, at least to get started. The very first problem came when I (like anyone else with a brand new turntable would do) tried to scratch. (This is where the slip mats come into play). The platters, though motorized and can be wonderful, feel pretty stiff and lacked any slip when scratching. I’m not sure if this is due to the motor of the platters and/or the slip mats. The feel is gentle, but immediately met by the “end” of the scratch. I moved on and loaded a few tracks to get started. I found my savior, the beatmatch guide. I like many genres of music and they are all different tempos, so learning how to use the beatmatch guide was a huge necessity and help for me. On the lower corner of the platters says “tempo” which will remain illuminated in red if the tempo is off….but once you use your parameter & tempo controls to align the platters, “tempo” will then illuminate green. Once I saw green, I knew I was good to get the party going…..so I thought lol.
The second major thing that stood out was volume control. I have the unit connected via the XLR master output with the gain and master volume setting at the 3rd notch. When I got a track started, I scared both my wife and my dog! Now this could be human error, but I would think this volume would have been a lot lower given the master and gains were all turned to a reasonable level.
I dabbled with the hot cue and fx trying to get a good sound, and succeeded, but still need practice. I found the button response to be pretty quick and accurate, and if I’m off in my selection I can simply use my shift button and deselect my choice to correct it. I also added in the pre-loaded fx which aren’t bad at all, but takes a bit of getting used to and learning when to drop them into the set.
I’m far from performing at EDC, Ultra or any of those amazing shows, but the T7 can definitely get me a solid spot mixing and scratching somewhere very soon! I strongly suggest this unit for anyone just starting out, or anyone with some experience and not wanting to break the bank on a controller. The T7 gives a solid range of options and fx for a very good price.

I've always had a passion for music and have always wanted to pursue DJing as a hobby. My family has a lot of gatherings and music is always a big deal when we get together. When I ordered this, I couldn’t wait to get it. It's important to know that this hobby can get expensive quickly, but this mixer is a huge centerpiece of whatever setup or purpose you have for it. The feature set is impeccable and you also get access to some lessons through the software that is included with it.
This mixer is a great thing to have to start off DJing. The mixer itself has two platters that simulate vinyl mixers and include two sets of slip mats that help with scratching. I put both of them on so I didn’t lose them, but they are easy to remove from the platters. You can also add your own if you have them as they are standard size platters. The platters simulate scratching effects and work great. The mixer also has retractable feet on the bottom that allows you to set it up higher in the back and low in the front or vice versa. You can also just leave the feet folded up and use it on a flat surface. The faders are also replaceable. Hercules sells an upgraded fader module for a small price and is easy to install yourself so there is no need to take it a shop to have it done.
The FX section is also a pretty nice addition to this setup. This allows you to change the frequencies of your music and adjusts the bass, mid and treble which helps you adjust your mixes. The beatmatch guide is also a great feature especially for rookies like myself. Once you upload the music into the software, it can scan the track to determine the BPM’s so you can transition or ensure your next track matches the tempo.
This mixer includes DJ Serato Lite and DJuiced software for you to use. You can upgrade to Serato Pro for an additional cost, but unless you are a pro, I would stay with the lite version until you. What I really like about the software, is that there are internal lessons that can show you how to use the mixer. That was invaluable to me as a newbie. I played with this thing for hours and I still feel like I don’t know anything, but the lessons definitely gave me some confidence in learning what to do. Im definitely not ready for any DJ battles, but I’m having a good time learning what to do with it.
I am using this mixer with a laptop and setting it up was easy. The mixer has RCA inputs and a USB cable that you connect to your laptop. I’m having a ball learning this and I have the added benefit of learning alongside my 12 year old son who really wants to use it. Once I learn a bit more about it, I’ll be picking some powered speakers and a carrying case. I’m pretty excited to finally have a hobby that I enjoy while learning.
There is so much I can say about this mixer but to be honest, you really need to go out and get one so you can see for yourself. I highly recommend this mixer for amateurs and pros alike.

The Inpulse T7 is so much fun that I simply can't help but to give it a full 5 stars - but besides being a blast to use - I do believe that it fairly earns its high marks.
...I have always dreamt of becoming a DJ, but spending a fortune on Vinyl in the age of digital music is not very appealing. And, DJing off of only a laptop (while fun) is embarrassing and doesn't feel authentic. ...Enter the Hercules DJControl Input T7...
Interestingly, the Input T7 is really just a cool way to control a laptop (hence the device being a DJ Controller). But, the T7 is legit! It has truly exceptional build quality for a nearly unbeatable price. What I love about it is that it is a device that a beginner can learn on and then continue to use as an actual paid DJ.
I used to watch DJs and think, "What are they doing? They are touching all kinds of buttons and twisting a bunch of knobs and I don't hear anything happening." Now I can't help but think, "There is soooooo much to learn and soooo much to do with all of these buttons and knobs!" While the overall complexity can be rather overwhelming, Hercules has tutorial videos that do a great job of getting Noobs (like me) off their feet.
A laptop is required as is powering the DJController from an external power source. The peripheral controls one of two Software programs - either Serato DJ Lite (or Pro - which costs extra), or DJuced. Both are professional level DJ software. If you are considering the T7 absolutely take a moment to watch some video reviews - they will 100% inspire you to pick up the T7.
I appreciate that among dozens upon dozens of features / controls, the T7 includes actual belt driven platers that get up to speed in less than a second and make scratching and beat matching an absolute breeze. I love that I can personalize the look with any 7 inch record - sure having real records spinning is just for looks, but the platters are actually useful and bring a legitimate feel to a performance art that has true history with vinyl.
I absolutely cannot do the T7 justice by simply typing about it. Every button and knob is authentic, functional, and high quality - and the DJ Controller is an absolute blast that will have you nodding your head in no time. Go start watching videos of the T7 in action and pick one up as soon as you can.

Hercules DJ Control Inpulse T7 DJ Mixer is a very intuitive system. One that shouldn’t intimidate beginners going for their dreams of DJing. what I like about this product is it has tutorials so you don’t become overwhelmed with all the controls on board. For those who want a quick review; I love that this is lightweight enough to carry to parties and once the retractable feet are up a laptop can fit right underneath. This is pretty cool.
There isn’t much in the box besides the product, a USB-C cord, a power adapter, and instructions. There isn’t a quickstart guide and is a hassle putting in The website address to get the software you need. this could’ve been circumvented with a QR code which would’ve helped beginners out a lot quicker. The system requirements are also pretty high for PCs:
Windows 10, 11 (64-bit) / macOS 11 or higher Processor: Recent Intel Core™ i5, 8 GB RAM or more, OpenGL 2.0 graphics or higher Hard drive space: 1 GB for DJUCED / 5 GB for Serato DJ, and Internet access. This also needs a Mac/PC to run the powerful software.
The setup wasn’t a problem and was pretty easy connecting to the PC. Inpluse T7 LEDs across the board lit up and were ready to go. Again, you must download drivers and the supported software which is DJuced and Serato DJ. Both are free once you sign up for an account. You can set the tempo with 10 can faders, EQ, gain, volume, and more. On the back of the device, there is an XLR MASTERS, RCA, and mic.
One of the best features here is mixing, and I love using the platters over and over again. The platters on this is motorized. They just feel so smooth and elegant reversing. The equipment does come with real 7-inch vinyls to give you that feel on your fingertips of mixing just like back in the day. Every knob feels well built and nothing feels like it’s gonna slip off or break. I can’t tell you how much they put into this device, especially someone who is a fan of DJing. This has got to be one of the best well-constructed devices I have used in a while, even moving it, and bumping one of the edges on the corner didn’t seem to damage it.
Comes with two slip mats that also provide a grip tailored to your spins. This is just one nice DJ controller hands down. There is an upgradeable fader section and an FX section. The retractable feet are really good for desk setups that like to be clean. Hercules DJ Control Impulse Mixer so far was pretty fun to use and DJing was nice to try! The software wasn’t as cumbersome as I initially thought it would be. A professional should easily be able to use this controller without any problems I should say.
I had so much fun using Inpulse T7, I also had fun learning how to DJ in my spare time. The software seems robust and powerful. Like the Beatmatch guide and grab pads as well. No issues with me and would recommend this to any music artist or DJs.

This is the perfect gift to yourself or perhaps someone else, to either start making your mixes or would like to feel the spinning of the vinyl, almost like spinning turntables.
The Hercules DJ Control Impuse T7 Mixer comes carefully packaged and ready to work right out of the box. In its box it includes the Mixer, 2 Felt slip mats 2 seven inch replica vinyl records, a braided USB Cable, Power adapter, Serato DJ lite software license and the DJuced software license.
The setup was super easy, all I did was put it together by placing the slipmats on, then the vinyls, powered the mixer, connect to the laptop, turn on the controller, then downloaded the Serato DJ Lite software and it asks you to download the drivers for Hercules to work and that was it.
And I like that the DJUCED software is free to use because it is included along with Serato DJ Lite and you can always upgrade to Serato DJ Pro. DJUCED also has plenty of tutorials to learn the skills to get better if you are a beginner while Serato DJ Lite it is to create your masterpiece.
The vinyl turntables look just like the originals just a bit smaller, the size of a 45 records or 7 inch, the discs are made of real vinyl so it does like mixing with a real vinyl record. And speaking of mixing, the turntables can scratch as well as anything you can think you would do with a vinyl, except the needle skipping in the middle of a gig.
The inputs outputs: I like that not only does it have RCA outputs it also has XLR outputs, and it has a Mic input to directly connect the mic to the controller, and on the front of the unit you will find both sizes of headphones, 3.5mm and the 6.35mm.
The controls are smooth and easy to use, and you have 8 modes to use on each side, it even comes with FX buttons to give it your own effect.
The beatmatch guide is just amazing, most of the time it makes it a lot easier to mix all the music without hassles.
Once you become familiar with the Controller, there is no limit to making your own mixes; it is super easy to control the laptop and making it your own.
The one thing I would like different is to have USB C on both sides of the cable, laptop to controller.
This is definitely not a toy, the controller feels comfortable and smooth, it has legs to make it more accessible and for it to stay cool while working hard to make everything work together.
Overall, this is not just for the beginner, it is also for the DJ that wants the vinyl feel, it is a lot of fun and it is easy to get familiar with it.

This Hercules DJ Control Impulse T7 DJ Mixer in black is a really awesome device. In the box, comes the controller, power cable, USB cable to connect your computer, two vinyls, two felt pads to go under the vinyls, license to DJuced software, license to Serato DJ Lite, a power cable for the European market, and instruction manual. The thing about this controller that I like is that the turntables are motorized and not manual. That took some getting used to, but I do like it. The turntables are really cool. You can put vinyl on them, the vinyls that came with it, your own vinyls, or you can use music from various sources. The music I used are my own 45’s, music I have bought and have on my computer, and samples from various sources. It’s super easy to learn to scratch on this type of device, verses a manual one. I love how with the software, you can do anything the controller can do. The board needs a computer to connect to, and you will need DJ monitors (speakers), or DJ headphones. I have both the Hercules monitors and the Hercules headphones. They work so well together. The things that stand out are all of the settings that make this for any beginner, intermediate, or advanced user. I totally recommend this device.

So in my lifetime of 40 years I’ve owned half a dozen decks. With that being said this one is my favorite.
First off the size. As a female I don’t have the strength to lug around anything weighty or bulky and this system is not that. It’s quite fitting for ability to size.
Second, it has its own power source. Meaning my last one just had one usb cord that went from the deck to the computer.
This one has that and a power cord. So the extra pull from my laptop isn’t there and so far my laptop has not crashed, like it used to.
Third, is the install. After plugging everything in, and following all the prompts on the screen, the response time wasn’t as quick as I’d like it to be. But then again I don’t have serator pro. Which I think is important to get the best and full use from this deck.
Disclaimer, I’m not a professional dj anymore but hubby and I enjoy making mixes. This is perfect for that. The belt drives have the realistic feel of actual vinyl spinning. My favorite feature is the instrumental and voice buttons because the options for mixing is unlimited. We don’t do a ton of scratching but when we do it real time and sounds good. Honestly u don’t have any complaints at this time.

Flash back to when I was a middle and high schooler going to dance parties and fiestas with the DJ pulling out their vinyls and cutting songs in and out and scratching records....
Fast forward to modern technology and integration of Computer, digital music, and digital turn a table that makes it all happen...
So setup.
Setup was super easy. I had all the equipment needed.
1. Gaming computer
2. Headphones
3. Speaker system
I installed the 3 software needed for the turntable and I was up and running. I was using PC.
Even though it is not required. I would recommend another external screen to help with being able to split the software screens and get more real estate to see what you are doing. Not required but strongly suggested.
Also if you want full software use you will need to purchase the full version of the software. But if you are just having fun and messing around with friends in a house party this will just be fine.
Back to the turn table. This turntable is awesome....
All the affects and options to speed up slow down mix the 2 streams of music at your finger tips is freaking epic...
You can also use this to do full audio editing if you are a vlogging.
Amazing how much technology is out there. Crazy. This replaces an entire sound studio if you think about it.
Really nice.
I am still learning all the ins and outs but with practice this table kicks some rear.
For what I used it for I would recommend it. Nicely done.

This controller is a great mix of value and feel, especially for those who prefer spinning vinyl. The mixer section isn't perfect, but it does well for jobs that don't require exact precision. It does everything it's supposed to do well and works great with SeratoDJ.

Build Quality. The build quality of this device is excellent. The vinyl platters have a nice weight to them and the platter motors feel like a regular record player. The hot cue buttons have a nice click to them, the knobs rotate smoothly, and the sliders slide smoothly. This device seems like it would be pretty durable, which would be ideal for the type of environment you’d likely be using it in if you’re planning to DJ for anybody else. Plus, it has retractable feet which allows it to avoid liquid hazards like spilled drinks. There is plenty of great I/O on this device. It includes a power adapter and a high quality braided usb cable to connect to your computer. The device also has a headphone out, XLR out, RCA out, and mic in to allow you to connect whatever peripherals you need.
The performance of this device is great. I am a musician who has had a few false starts in DJing attempts and this device just makes sense to me. I think it’s because it really seems like it’s designed with a beginner in mind (though it has many of the features that advanced DJ controllers have). Specifically, the device has indicators to help you get the beats between the two tracks matched up. Likewise, having physical motorized platters to manipulate helped create a tactile feel to beat match which I’ve never experienced before. Speaking of the motorized platters, they are also really great for scratching. The device comes with two real 7” vinyl to put on the platters and it gives me the tactile feel of scratching vinyl. I feel like it would still take a bit of adjustment/learning to make the jump to real vinyl platters, but I also think that this device would give me a HUGE head start if that was my next goal.
What really brings the device together is the software. DJUCED standard edition is included with the Hercules controller. (For anyone considering purchasing the controller, there is also a free version you can download to get you familiar with how awesome it is). This app has a number of features—you can have 4 decks going at once, unlimited FX, it can pull stems from tracks in realtime, allows you to stream tracks from major platforms (Beatport, Beatsource, Qobuz, Soundcloud, Tidal), and has Ableton link support. But the killer features to me was the DJ academy. Hercules recorded tutorials to help me learn everything I need to get started DJing. Their marketing tagline on their website is “from your bedroom to your first show” and I really feel like they provide everything you need to do that. The controller also offers Serato support if you are already familiar with that platform and want to continue to use it.
Overall, I think this is a great device for beginners with features that even advanced users can appreciate.

Hercules DJ Control Impulse T7 is changing the game. I've been DJing for a while on a computer, so this is my first opportunity to get on a mixing board. And I've got to say Hercules did it with this one. They placed all the mixing keys in the center console for easy access to any side that you're mixing.
And the motorized platters take you back to when mixing on the ones and twos was the thing. They've included two vinyl records for an even more real feel when mixing. Easy loading from your playlist with knob and push settings to load tracks instantly. It also has 3.9 Temple faders that match with real vinyl turntables.
You have options to use Serato DJ Light and DJUCED software that are included. The unit itself is very light, so if you're using it at home or on the go, it's perfect, and it has foldable legs that come from the bottom, making it even easier to use.
The only thing they didn't include was a set of monitor speakers or nice headphones, but hey, you get those in your off and going. If you or anyone you know loves music and mixing it up check this one out. It's the closest you will you old school turntables.

Hercules T7 Review: DJ Tech Meets Tradition

When I first got my hands on the Hercules DJ Control Inpulse T7, I was genuinely excited. This wasn't just another DJ controller; it felt like a bridge between the classic DJing world and our digital age. It's so lightweight, making it a breeze to carry to friends’ houses. Unboxing was straightforward, though I did miss having a quick start guide. The support website is a bit convoluted to navigate, but I was able to find a downloadable quick start guide and numerous manuals. Currently the tutorial section of the site is missing content as well, so hopefully those walkthroughs will exist soon to help others through the setup process.
The build quality immediately struck me. The motorized platters and the feel of the 7-inch vinyls under my fingers brought back a sense of nostalgia. It’s not just about looks; every knob and button feels sturdy and reliable. The retractable feet are a nice addition too, perfect for my tidy desk setup and getting a little more ergonomic flexibility.
Diving into the software, the T7 comes with Serato DJ Lite and DJUCED. I’m very fluent in all tings tech, and these programs were fairly intuitive once I got the hang of them. Features like the Beatmatch Guide and Intelligent Music Assistant were a lifesaver for a DJ beginner like me. And for those who love to tinker, the options for customization are almost endless. It was a bit of a learning curve, but definitely a fun one.
Using the T7 was a blast. The motorized platters mimic real turntables so well; it’s impressive how they respond to every touch, making scratching and mixing feel so authentic. Even with larger audio files, the performance was smooth. The tactile feedback from the controls made every session feel more engaging.
To sum it up, the Hercules DJ Control Inpulse T7 has been a joy to use. It's the perfect tool for anyone passionate about DJing, whether you're just starting out or looking to upgrade. Its blend of traditional charm and modern tech hits the sweet spot. If you're stepping into the DJ world or just want to add a new gadget to your arsenal, the T7 is definitely worth considering. It’s not just a controller; it’s an experience that rekindles the joy of mixing music.

The build quality on the DJ Control Impulse T7 is very premium! I was very impressed with how all buttons and sliders are very tactile and have a good resistance to them, they do not feel cheap and just spin. The turntables themselves have the same great tension on them to give that feel of a real turntable. Having a dedicated buttons for cue, loops, stems instrumental, and vocals gives you every transition you could ever ask for right at your fingertips. The FX input is amazing with an on-the-fly input at the drop of a switch, but also gives you the option to leave that effect on with a flip the other way. Nice to have retractable feet built in. You can have this setup at a slight angle if needed and just use the back 2 feet, or all 4 and get it off a surface. This setup comes with anti-slip pads and 7in vinyls to really immerse you in that old school feel but brining it into the 21 Century. Cool setup, easy to use, has everything you could ask for in a DJ setup. If you are just getting started, or if you have been doing this for years you will absolutely love the DJ Control Impulse T7!

This is a great mid range controller, that comes with some pretty outstanding features for this price point, which also includes two different software suites to help control almost anything you can throw at it.
The knobs, buttons, switches are all on point, everything feels good and fluid, from button presses to the sliders motion, and if that isn't enough, it also has the ability to upgrade the entire fade section with a premium version if you so desire down the road.
One of the main things I like about this T7, is that it includes two working (moving) platters, which gives it a realistic turntable feel, it also includes two real 7 inch vinyls and slipmats, which can be replaced with your own custom ones which is a welcomed feature.
Setting this all up and getting it working was a pretty fun process, I really need to upgrade my monitors (speakers) for this unit but I like that everything can back flow into my laptop's headset and or a headset plugged directly into the unit itself. (I preferred having my laptop as the primary sound source for the intial setup process so I could get all the music/effects in place prehand, then switched over to the speakers at the end when I was actually using the controller). Initially it didn't take long to setup which was also nice.
pros:
2 motorized platters for 7” discs with touch detection (33 1/3 RPM, ability to change to 45 RPM with upgrade to Serato DJ "PRO")
The unit has 4 retractable feet that raises the unit a few inches up, allowing for wire and or spill management
16 backlit RGB pads (8 pads x 8 modes per deck)
Loop In/Loop Out buttons, loop encoder, Stems controls
3 Fx Select buttons, 1 paddle and 1 Filter knob per deck & 1 control knob, Beat -/+ buttons, pitch bend << / >>
2 master outputs (2x XLR + 2x RCA)
2 headphone outputs (1/4" / 6.35mm + 1/8" / 3.5mm stereo mini-jack)
1 microphone input (1/4" / 6.35mm jack (balanced))
The fader section is upgradable to a premium fader as well
Includes Serato DJ Lite, featuring the latest real-time Stems technology, and DJUCED. *Compatible w/ Serato DJ Pro
Mix with music streaming services including TIDAL and SoundCloud GO+ in Serato DJ Lite, and Beatport LINK and Qobuz in DJUCED (*subscription to music streaming service required)
cons: to be frank if you are not very tech savy, and have never used something like this before, this whole setup process could be a little intimidating.
Luckily I have had many years to become familiar with tech and things like this so it wasn't overly complicated.
I was able to source out a few youtube videos that could help in the initial setup of this unit and I would recommend anyone looking for initial help to head over there and search out the Hercules devices and or the DJUCED & Serato software for setup and help, if you so require it, as that should get you sorted out and up and running quickly.
Overall, I would have to take a small stab and say this is the best price point controller on the market currently, you would be well troubled to find something better at this price.
If music is your passion and you are looking at getting into this scene, or if you are looking to upgrade your current system, I would have to say this will sincerely be the unit to get into it with.
You could always start with something smaller/cheaper if you are just starting out but you will be missing all the features of the bigger more expensive controllers out there that let you do so much more, so with this unit you are getting a taste of just about everything you would with the higher end units for half the price but still getting a fantastic experience while doing so.
I would definitly recommend checking out the DJ CONTROL INPULSE T7
