A modern take on a DJ controller that emphasizes the tactile feeling of vinyl turntables, the DJControl Inpulse T7 motorized DJ controller from Hercules is here to deliver old-school feel in the modern age! The dream of many aspiring DJs has long been rooted in the past, in the days of spinning vinyl records and creatively transitioning between tracks to add a little of the DJ’s own distinct flavor to the mix. Great for NEW DJ'S

Upon receiving this I was worried because of how light the box was. I thought that perhaps this was the wrong product or perhaps something was wrong. A turntable is usually associated with weight and being hefty and bulky. Surprisingly this turntable is not like that at all. This turntable is a good beginner DJ turntable. At this price point you won’t find all these great features for the money. Its small and compact so great if you are doing house parties or backyard events. The rotating platter is a plus because it gives you that true vinyl feel. It comes with real slip mats and real vinyl’s. You can even put your own custom 45’s on the platter. The motor torque is good but would be better if they had a low/high torque adjustment. You must use a little extra pressure to do like a “spin back”. It is a bit too tight for my taste. It is great for scratching though. The fx while “scratching” or using the “spin back” feature adds to some great extra effects. The fx placement reminds me of the pioneer turntables. You can add 3 effects from each deck and program/change them through Serato or Djuiced. You can even adjust the depth of each of the effects. You can also select 1 or all 3 fx on the deck to give some versatility. I love the built in “stems.” You have a quick isolation button for the vocals and instrumentals on the decks or you can hit the “stems” mode button so that you have more isolation options. I have a short table that I put it on but these this controller has legs that open from the bottom to give you a few inches of height that gives me the extra height boost I need with my low table. I’m not worried about the faders going bad and becoming useless because they are upgradable. There are some things that I would have liked added like “line in”, “low, mid, high” mic adjustments, crossfader slope, and I would like it to be slightly larger. What really sucks is that it comes with Serrato lite and you must pay to subscribe to Serrato Pro. Overall for the price I cannot complain because it gets the job done and does not “break the bank”. :::Pros & Cons::: Pros: - Real vinyl platters - Stem support - Compact - Lightweight - Feature rich for the price Cons: - Serrato is not included (only a trial) :::TL;DR::: The Hercules T7 cannot be beat. It is not perfect but it does not need to be at the price it is sold for and all the features it has. It is perfect for a beginner like myself that is learning new things everyday.

Go from Amateur Enthusiast to an actual DJ

The Inpulse T7 is so much fun that I simply can't help but to give it a full 5 stars - but besides being a blast to use - I do believe that it fairly earns its high marks. ...I have always dreamt of becoming a DJ, but spending a fortune on Vinyl in the age of digital music is not very appealing. And, DJing off of only a laptop (while fun) is embarrassing and doesn't feel authentic. ...Enter the Hercules DJControl Input T7... Interestingly, the Input T7 is really just a cool way to control a laptop (hence the device being a DJ Controller). But, the T7 is legit! It has truly exceptional build quality for a nearly unbeatable price. What I love about it is that it is a device that a beginner can learn on and then continue to use as an actual paid DJ. I used to watch DJs and think, "What are they doing? They are touching all kinds of buttons and twisting a bunch of knobs and I don't hear anything happening." Now I can't help but think, "There is soooooo much to learn and soooo much to do with all of these buttons and knobs!" While the overall complexity can be rather overwhelming, Hercules has tutorial videos that do a great job of getting Noobs (like me) off their feet. A laptop is required as is powering the DJController from an external power source. The peripheral controls one of two Software programs - either Serato DJ Lite (or Pro - which costs extra), or DJuced. Both are professional level DJ software. If you are considering the T7 absolutely take a moment to watch some video reviews - they will 100% inspire you to pick up the T7. I appreciate that among dozens upon dozens of features / controls, the T7 includes actual belt driven platers that get up to speed in less than a second and make scratching and beat matching an absolute breeze. I love that I can personalize the look with any 7 inch record - sure having real records spinning is just for looks, but the platters are actually useful and bring a legitimate feel to a performance art that has true history with vinyl. I absolutely cannot do the T7 justice by simply typing about it. Every button and knob is authentic, functional, and high quality - and the DJ Controller is an absolute blast that will have you nodding your head in no time. Go start watching videos of the T7 in action and pick one up as soon as you can.

    Perfect for beginners or professionals

I've always had a passion for music and have always wanted to pursue DJing as a hobby. My family has a lot of gatherings and music is always a big deal when we get together. When I ordered this, I couldn’t wait to get it. It's important to know that this hobby can get expensive quickly, but this mixer is a huge centerpiece of whatever setup or purpose you have for it. The feature set is impeccable and you also get access to some lessons through the software that is included with it. This mixer is a great thing to have to start off DJing. The mixer itself has two platters that simulate vinyl mixers and include two sets of slip mats that help with scratching. I put both of them on so I didn’t lose them, but they are easy to remove from the platters. You can also add your own if you have them as they are standard size platters. The platters simulate scratching effects and work great. The mixer also has retractable feet on the bottom that allows you to set it up higher in the back and low in the front or vice versa. You can also just leave the feet folded up and use it on a flat surface. The faders are also replaceable. Hercules sells an upgraded fader module for a small price and is easy to install yourself so there is no need to take it a shop to have it done. The FX section is also a pretty nice addition to this setup. This allows you to change the frequencies of your music and adjusts the bass, mid and treble which helps you adjust your mixes. The beatmatch guide is also a great feature especially for rookies like myself. Once you upload the music into the software, it can scan the track to determine the BPM’s so you can transition or ensure your next track matches the tempo. This mixer includes DJ Serato Lite and DJuiced software for you to use. You can upgrade to Serato Pro for an additional cost, but unless you are a pro, I would stay with the lite version until you. What I really like about the software, is that there are internal lessons that can show you how to use the mixer. That was invaluable to me as a newbie. I played with this thing for hours and I still feel like I don’t know anything, but the lessons definitely gave me some confidence in learning what to do. Im definitely not ready for any DJ battles, but I’m having a good time learning what to do with it. I am using this mixer with a laptop and setting it up was easy. The mixer has RCA inputs and a USB cable that you connect to your laptop. I’m having a ball learning this and I have the added benefit of learning alongside my 12 year old son who really wants to use it. Once I learn a bit more about it, I’ll be picking some powered speakers and a carrying case. I’m pretty excited to finally have a hobby that I enjoy while learning. There is so much I can say about this mixer but to be honest, you really need to go out and get one so you can see for yourself. I highly recommend this mixer for amateurs and pros alike.

    Great for first timers!

Hercules DJ Control Inpulse T7 DJ Mixer is a very intuitive system. One that shouldn’t intimidate beginners going for their dreams of DJing. what I like about this product is it has tutorials so you don’t become overwhelmed with all the controls on board. For those who want a quick review; I love that this is lightweight enough to carry to parties and once the retractable feet are up a laptop can fit right underneath. This is pretty cool. There isn’t much in the box besides the product, a USB-C cord, a power adapter, and instructions. There isn’t a quickstart guide and is a hassle putting in The website address to get the software you need. this could’ve been circumvented with a QR code which would’ve helped beginners out a lot quicker. The system requirements are also pretty high for PCs: Windows 10, 11 (64-bit) / macOS 11 or higher Processor: Recent Intel Core™ i5, 8 GB RAM or more, OpenGL 2.0 graphics or higher Hard drive space: 1 GB for DJUCED / 5 GB for Serato DJ, and Internet access. This also needs a Mac/PC to run the powerful software. The setup wasn’t a problem and was pretty easy connecting to the PC. Inpluse T7 LEDs across the board lit up and were ready to go. Again, you must download drivers and the supported software which is DJuced and Serato DJ. Both are free once you sign up for an account. You can set the tempo with 10 can faders, EQ, gain, volume, and more. On the back of the device, there is an XLR MASTERS, RCA, and mic. One of the best features here is mixing, and I love using the platters over and over again. The platters on this is motorized. They just feel so smooth and elegant reversing. The equipment does come with real 7-inch vinyls to give you that feel on your fingertips of mixing just like back in the day. Every knob feels well built and nothing feels like it’s gonna slip off or break. I can’t tell you how much they put into this device, especially someone who is a fan of DJing. This has got to be one of the best well-constructed devices I have used in a while, even moving it, and bumping one of the edges on the corner didn’t seem to damage it. Comes with two slip mats that also provide a grip tailored to your spins. This is just one nice DJ controller hands down. There is an upgradeable fader section and an FX section. The retractable feet are really good for desk setups that like to be clean. Hercules DJ Control Impulse Mixer so far was pretty fun to use and DJing was nice to try! The software wasn’t as cumbersome as I initially thought it would be. A professional should easily be able to use this controller without any problems I should say. I had so much fun using Inpulse T7, I also had fun learning how to DJ in my spare time. The software seems robust and powerful. Like the Beatmatch guide and grab pads as well. No issues with me and would recommend this to any music artist or DJs.
