I was kind of shocked to hear that My Chemical Romance was breaking up when it was first announced. Yet, as long as frontman Gerard Way continued to make music in some form or another, I was fairly confident that it would eventually work itself out.
And this album did not disappoint. It swoons and surges with Way's raw vocals, and reaches interesting places through his songwriting. While not the best new release of 2014, it did make some "Best Of" lists, and that's worth something.

This record is a new side of Gerard Way. A departure from MCRs sound but still welcome. The record is so good to chill out to .Highlights include -The Bureau, Action Cat and No Shows.

This cd is a lot like the last My Chemical romance cd, very glam rock. It reminds me a lot of 70s David Bowie.

Although not his best work, the songs were all good, but the best one is "Maya the Psychic"

Did you like Danger Days?

I found this "new style" of his continuing here. Not a big fan myself.
I liked the old days where the music was loud and so was his voice.
The new stuff is muted and garage-esqe, the music less original, and more electronica.
It'll sound good enough on random, and if you liked Danger Days, you'll probably love it.

A unique blend of indy pop rock that won't satisfy your craving for more My Chemical Romance, but will make you feel a little better about their breakup. If MCR's sound split in two, you'd have this in one hand and Frank Iero's new album in the other. I highly recommend both.

Honestly I am not a fan of his former band in anyway. I heard the track 'No Shows' and liked it quite a bit. After listening to a few more tracks elsewhere it sounded a lot like Taint Cummings last album. Either way I really like this one a lot.

Ever since Gerard Way tweeted about releasing this album I had been excited to purchase it. Once I did and listened to it, it was perfect. The music is very moving and personal towards Gerad. I wouldn't mind listening to it for the rest of my life.

Don't expect it to sound like My Chemical Romance but it is still a great album. More punk rock.

Fantastic album from the former lead singer of My Chemical Romance. Very similar in tone to their last album but I like this one better.
