After reading a lot of tests done on HDD's for the PS4, I settled on this one. It is the same brand that comes in the stock PS4 unit, with a little more than double the effective storage, as well as faster speeds due to the 7200rpm. According to tech site charts, it also has the lowest failure rate of all the HDD manufacturers. For $60 it was a no brainer option to upgrade since I found myself having to delete games, etc., and did not want the Seagate 2TB option due to noise/beep complaints. I get more storage, and faster load times. I hope they make a 2TB option, however innovations to the tradition HDD market are becoming stagnant in favor of SSD popularity growing. For the price, this is the best bang for the buck on size, reliability, and performance.

This 1 terabyte 2.5 inch HD is excellent to expand the functionality of your old laptop. It is fast, 7200RPM, and I have found to be very reliable. It was a breeze to install, since it was actually thinner than my old 320GB drive.

This is a high rated huge space upgrade from original hard drive for the ps4 load times are fast and reliability

bought this so that i could increase the memory on my ps4. It has not only given it a nice memory boost but it shaves seconds of during loading in games. an unintentional plus. installation can be tricky hopefully going to ign.com can make this a smooth process

I bought this to use for the PS4 and it works greatly. Hard drives are very easy to install if you know nothing about technology. All you have to do is unscrew a few things and take out the old hard drive and put in the new one. For some reason, before my hard drive would make a loud noise when putting some discs in or during installation. With this hard drive, that issue is gone. It works smoothly and quietly. It is faster than my old ps4 stock hard drive. I would suggest getting this one if you're looking for a new hard drive.

Needed a bit more space on a Late 2011 Macbook Pro and, based on reviews, this drive seemed like an excellent option! Using a cheap external housing and instructions from youtube/apple.com (https://discussions.apple.com/docs/DOC-4122) I was easily able to clone the info from my old drive, and using no really special tools, was able to swap it into the laptop without any major issues (far cry from the un-upgradable new macbooks...thanks Apple). Drive boots just a quickly at the smaller capacity 'stock' drive, and hasn't seemed to increase heat, or lower battery performance. The extra gigabytes are great for storing all of the terrible, blurry photos I take with my SLR!

The drive is fast and boots my win7 laptop very qickly. The drive does slightly reduce the battery life ( 5-10 minutes out of 2 1/2 hours). The drive also makes the computer run a few degrees hotter but not a significant impact.

At 6 Gbs a second throughput, it is as fast as a 5400 RPM Hybrid-drive. It is also 30% less expensive and that my friends is the selling point! Travelstar has been around for years, thier drives for me are among the best on the market. I Have a desktop travelstar that is 6 years old, thousand of hours without a hiccup. If common sense pricing is what your looking for this is the line of drives for you. Bestbuy puts them on sale a few times a year at the lowest price available, be sure to check/compare pricing before buying.

Plugged right in and load times are faster with this drive on certain games, great for more space overall.

I purchased this to upgrade the memory in my PS4. I read countless reviews and recommendations. Came down to this one or the WD Blue 1TB. Chose the Travelstar based on some reviews that stated a slight performance boost as well. Installation was a breeze. Downloading PS4 OS was simple and fast. Had system up and going within 30-45 mins. Game download times Seem shorter but not by much if any. But having room for more games was the goal and goal greatly achieved!! Drive has ran flawlessly since install and my boys will play for hours at a time. 5 stars for a great affordable drive!!!

This hard drive double my ps4 memory plus double my load time. Everyone should do this for their ps4!!

This HD is one of your best choices if you are replacing a faulty Hd or upgrading to a larger capacity, it's fast and compatible with almost all laptops.

Bought this to use in my PS3. Replaced the 160gb with this one. Swap was a snap and added so much more necessary space. Since the PS4 came out and PS3 digital games going on sale every weekend building a huge digital collection.

Hard drive has worked extremely well. I put it in an enclosure to use with my Xbox one. No complaints.

I really wanted to increase the storage capacity of my 2011 MacBook Pro with a larger, second internal SSD (had 120GB installed), but costs were still higher than what I wanted to spend. So I looked at this 1TB 7200 RPM drive and have been very pleased. I keep my "slow changing" files on this drive, and use an OWC SSD 480GB for my system and "fast changing" files. Perfect! Sure I gave up the optical drive when installing the Data Doubler - but it works without a hitch. My files have room to breath again.

I have been replacing all my old 500GB hard drives with 1TB hard drives in my two PS-4s. Had to older these online as they are not carried in the stores for some reason. The are one of the very few laptop size hard drives that will fit in the PS-4's. Others are too thick and have a different mounting face. Was easy to replace and start new.

Using these in a server in place of an SDS drive and they are working great for the last 3 months. Have them backing up each other, and no issues to date.
