My Honest Review of the Hiboy KS4 Pro Electric Sco
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I recently bought the Hiboy KS4 Pro electric scooter, and after riding it for a few weeks, I can confidently say it’s one of the best investments I’ve made for my daily commute. I wanted something affordable, reliable, and powerful enough to handle city roads, and the KS4 Pro has mostly delivered on those expectations. The scooter arrived well-packed and was easy to assemble — just unfold, tighten a few screws, and it’s ready to ride. The build quality feels solid and premium for its price. The matte black finish with side lighting gives it a sleek, modern look, and the digital display is bright and easy to read, even in daylight. I also like the Hiboy app, which lets me lock the scooter, check speed, and monitor battery life from my phone. It’s simple, but it gets the job done. Performance-wise, the KS4 Pro is impressive for a mid-range scooter. The 500-watt motor has plenty of power for flat city rides, and I’ve reached close to its advertised top speed of 19 mph on straight roads. Acceleration is smooth and steady, and the throttle responds quickly. On small inclines, it still performs well, although it does slow down a bit on steeper hills. The scooter feels stable, and the wide deck makes it comfortable to stand on during longer rides. The 10-inch honeycomb tires are both a blessing and a drawback. I love that they’re solid and puncture-proof — no need to worry about flats — but they make the ride a little rougher on uneven roads. The suspension system helps a bit, but you can still feel bumps and cracks, especially at higher speeds. For city streets and bike lanes, though, the comfort level is acceptable. Battery life is another strong point. Hiboy claims around 25 miles per charge, and while I haven’t reached that full distance, I consistently get about 17–20 miles depending on speed and terrain, which is still very good. Charging takes around 5 to 6 hours, and the charger is compact enough to carry in a backpack if needed. Braking is reliable with its dual-brake setup — a rear disc brake and front electronic regenerative braking. The response time is quick, and it feels safe even when stopping from higher speeds. The bright headlight and rear brake light are great for night rides, and the side lighting adds extra visibility, which I really appreciate for safety. If I had to point out downsides, I’d say the scooter is slightly heavy at about 38 pounds, and carrying it upstairs can be tiring. The ride could be smoother on rough pavement, and the app sometimes disconnects. But overall, these are minor compared to how well it performs. In summary, the Hiboy KS4 Pro is a dependable, fun, and stylish electric scooter that perfectly suits everyday city commuting. It offers a great balance of speed, range, and safety features for its price. I’d happily recommend it to anyone looking for a solid, hassle-free ride for daily use.

I Highly recommended this purchase to anyone who likes the balance of performance and value. really good for its price.
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The review will be a bit long but I will be as complete and honest as possible from my point of view. This is my second scooter and the first from Hiboy. Overall, for the price of $400 it is pretty good! You won't find anything better for that price range since they always have a discount on that model, as for the scooter the electric brake is very strong (quite good) the bad thing is that it is not independent, it is activated with the same lever as the rear brake and just like the s2/pro it was better separately although it is not a big problem, I loosen the rear brake a little to be able to activate only the electric one when I pull the lever a little, and compared to my other scooter where it was automatic it is infinitely better to be all manual, since an automatic electric brake makes you spend more energy than it regenerates, the lights are very good but you can't deactivate the ones on the sides or with the app, and speaking of the app it is extremely simple and with very few options, the worst part, but at least it is functional (better than nothing), something that had me worried is that when using the lights and moving the scooter the motor makes a very audible electrical noise compared to my previous scooter which was totally silent, I consulted with hiboy and they told me that I can be calm that it is normal when using the lights and moving the scooter. just like sometimes the battery level after a trip can drop 5% when you turn on the lights (it seems like a lot to me but they say it's normal too) but it goes back up when you turn them off, it could be because it's a large battery. The rear suspension is very hard and only works when jumping or falling, but the honeycomb tires are much better than the hollow ones and, being 10 inches, the ride is more cushioned.

Hiboy
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this scooter for my daughter in college. The day she picked it up from the store, her car broke down. She used it for a week and a half while her car was in the shop. It took her around campus and to work with no issues. This was a great investment. If I don't buy 1 for myself, I'm probably going to repo hers when she finishes school.

It scoots!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This thing is awesome. Everything I needed for work and play. Use it to work in my maintenance warehouse and to keep up with my Golden Retriever. Love the cruise control option when running my dog. The headlight is bright and battery lasts all day. Only thing I would like to see in the app is a lifetime odometer too see overall distance traveled. App only tracks distance traveled each time the scooter and app is connected and turned on. Can upload video of running the dog but I can screenshots.

Awesome Electric Scooter, affordable.
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was upset at first as i had ordered the scooter around the 16th of august and i was to receive the scooter on august 23rd but it got delayed so i had to wait another week but it was worth the wait. This scooter has been amazing to ride around on, i bought it for work since i don't have a car at the time and this is so nice to get around with. It doesn't go incredibly fast, max 19 mph but that's fast enough for me. If you're a speed demon you may want to look elsewhere however. The floor on the scooter is wider than i thought and fit my feet easily. I exceed the weight limit but the scooter has been smooth and working well regardless. It has a light to turn on at night and also a bottom light that is red, it can be locked via phone app that you can link your phone with and you can change speed settings and more. Its always best to be cautious especially if its your first time riding an electric scooter since even at lower speeds you can hurt yourself if you are not careful. Has amazing breaks and stops on a dime, very smooth, and accelerates nicely too. So far loving this scooter and has been another purchase at Best Buy that has made me happy.

Get Geek Squad warranty. Or get Segway.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.HiBoy: Major defects. 100% regrets. TLDR; defective motor, got part, then internals melted. We invoked our Geek Squad warranty and switched to Segway. We would've posted a negative review regardless of incentive. If you insist on going with HiBoy because it's affordable: 1. Get the Best Buy Geek Squad warranty! Or, buy another scooter brand after checking you can actually reach customer service at the phone number. 2. Don't toss out your box or its packing materials while the manufacturer warranty is active. 3. HiBoy's Customer Service is primarily email. They use the same name on all emails, will not always read the content, etc. They will replace defective parts (read HiBoy reviews for how frequent this occurs). Our Story: Purchased as a gift in December 2024 with a Best Buy warranty. It was brought inside during cold weather so the battery wouldn't be damaged. ApproxMarch 2025 it started making a bad clicking sound. After supplying proof of purchase, photos, and video, then HiBoy stated it was a defective motor and sent a new motor with links to the instructions. After the motor was replaced it kept making clicking noises but worked better. In May 2025 on a ride home the scooter -- while it had ample battery life -- started losing power even though the speed read 19 mph. It came to a dead stop and flashed an E7 error. E7 = unusable / paperweight. HiBoy sent us a label to return it, and we regretted throwing out the box after the motor fix. HiBoy uses FedEx. HiBoy gave a caveat about how they weren't responsible for damage in shipping, and specifically mentioned water damage on. Check other reviewers who did send the scooter back and what happened. ** If you need to return the scooter to HiBoy, and proceed with it, ask FedEx if it's insured for FULL replacement value and pay for the insurance if it isn't. Ask FedEx to explain to you it will work if a claim is needed. Take photos of how the interior is packaged -- including wrapping the scooter in plastic -- prior to sealing the box. We discovered that anything with a lithium battery needs to be taken to a FedEx Hub. We called ahead to the hub and the Dangerous Goods team wouldn't accept our scooter to be shipped because it has both a lithium battery and an electrical issue. They had us send a photo to HiBoy of the melted electrical components inside and that FedEx wouldn't accept the package because it's a fire hazard. HiBoy's response? To not read the email at all -- can tell from the name they used and the instructions. That continued to be the case after we pushed back repeatedly that FedEx wouldn't allow us to ship it. We tried calling HiBoy repeatedly. It would ring with no voicemail outside of business hours. During business hours we were never able to get through. We finally gave up. We weren't going to take on financial liability for violating FedEx's decision, and we'd read reviews about people who'd tried to return to HiBoy, so we called Best Buy, and made a Geek Squad appointment. We brought the item in, and chose a store credit. A family member checked Segway's customer service so we upgraded to Segway. ** This entire review is strictly opinion. And it would've been posted regardless of any incentive. **

||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It’s good and all but it came with the nut off on the front right axel. Wheel came loose caused me to crashed and hurt my knee pretty bad. Hiboy told me to pack sand when I let them and told me oh well. Damaged some parts and my handle bar grip got ripped up.

A Great All-Around Commuter Scooter
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. After several months of regular use, the HiBoy KS4 Pro has proven to be a reliable and enjoyable electric scooter for my daily commute. It strikes an excellent balance between performance, portability, and price, making it a strong contender in its category. The 19 mph top speed is more than enough for city riding, and the 25-mile range is impressive, easily lasting for a full day of errands and commuting without any range anxiety. The ride is surprisingly smooth for a scooter with solid tires, and it handles smaller hills with ease. The folding mechanism is straightforward, making it convenient to carry onto a bus or store in a car trunk. While the suspension could be better on rougher pavement, it's a minor issue for a scooter at this price point. Overall, the HiBoy KS4 Pro is a fantastic value for anyone looking for a dependable and fun way to get around the city. It's a solid investment that I would highly recommend to friends and family and it has made my daily commute something I actually look forward to.
