It was hard to keep up with and I really hated the way that it ended. I probably won't ever watch it again.

Robert Patterson gave a great performance as we’ll as Mia Goth. It’s a pretty trippy story line and gives some beautiful imagery. Definitely have to give it a second viewing. A24 studio always gives us some original films. So it’s a movie studio to watch out for. This is the same company that brought imus The Witch, Heredity, The Florida Project, Mid 90s, Midsommar, Under the silver Lake, Lady bird, Moonlight more recently HBO’s Euphoria & the highly anticipated The Lighthouse starting Patterson too along side Willem Dafoe.

The back of the box describes this as "Monte and his baby daughter are the last survivors of a damned and dangerous mission to the outer reaches of the solar system". I kept waiting for the whole space adventure part of the story to start, but the movie seems to be mainly about bodily fluids and a room with a sex chair. There is actually a spacecraft in the film which can best be described as a "3D Rectangle". Really imaginative stuff here. *SPOILER* In the climax of the film, Monte and his daughter (who have all of 5 minutes of screen time together) enter a black hole for no apparent reason. Thankfully, that was the end. The professional film critics like this movie even more than Interstellar and I totally understand why. It's a confusing, disturbing, and pretentious mess. Film critics love that sort of thing. I don't want anyone to think I'm not smart enough to understand what happened, so I'm giving it 5 stars!

One of my favorites from 2019, High Life is not for everyone. It’s plot is fairly non-existent and the director makes so many strange choices with regard to character building... but my god, this movie is sad. There’s not a lot of hope at the end of this ride through space, except the fact we’re on it together.

This is a movie we’ve come to expect from A24 productions. A well acted, intriguing movie, that has a very interesting setting. Takes a little while for the movie to get going, but it’s a decent ride.

Serving time, being sent into space but near a black hole, is massively fascinating. Undergoing experiments for reproduction, is the twist and it’s weird. Beautiful, not for everyone but interesting.

Didn't like the movie. It was very slow, had poor special effects. I tried to continue watching even though it was slow, seemed to get better as it developed the plot better.

If you are looking to get into the film business or if you are film critic watch this film, if you aren't the art house film guy, then skip this if you like.

A mix of science fiction with a pshicological thriller. The story is very unique but did find some similarities with 2001 space odyssey. I enjoyed it

Pattinson has become a great force in acting abilities. A very interesting sci fi flick. Worth a watch if you're interested in slower paced movies.

Realistic sci-fi film about what is likely to occur in our future. The movie is not uplifting but shows the human condtion.

If you keep an open mind while watching movies and enjoy diving into “true meanings” behind them, you’ll enjoy this one.

Really good science fiction film. The director, Claire Denis, did an excellent job with this haunting movie.

A different kind of sci-fi movie, not for younger viewers, that said I enjoyed it!

Robert Pattinson has showed he can do Indies well in The River and Good Time. Now the man is doing sci-fi movies like no other. Claire Denis is known for doing sexual movies. The woman has done comedies, revenge thrillers and now she's 73 directing a cinematic heaven full of visuals the MCU would die for.

A vert y unusual sci fi movie. The overall movie was unique.
