Great movie, Highly recommended can’t go wrong with Tom Selleck

this is a great Tom Selleck movie. lots of action and locations

Very satisfying action-adventure period piece. Tom Selleck is a WW 1 ace now making ends meet barnstorming in India. Bess Armstrong is a rich heiress hunting for her father (who disappeared in?India.) She hires him to follow her father’s trail. They grow close over the ensuing hunt from India to Afghanistan, on to Nepal, and over the Himalayas into China. Military battles occur at virtually every stop along the way. Bess is also chased by henchmen of her father’s English partner trying to take over his company. The supporting roles are filled by familiar character actors of the time. You will recognize their faces. (Brian Blessed has such a good time over acting as barbarian leaders!). Some beautiful scenery, too: all of it shot in Eastern Europe.

This has been a movie I have enjoyed several times over the years but I never owned it. It is a classic Tom Selleck movie and sorta is an action / romance / comedy. If your expecting awesome video or audio quality then your going to be disappointed. Remember this movie is from 1983 and I don't think it has ever been digitally remastered up to today's standards. Several sceens inside buildings are noticeably grainy. The audio is nothing to write home about but has no problem in drawing you into the story line. Overall I am glad to finally add this title to my collection before it is out of print.

High Road To China is one of the old movies that gets over looked. My wife of 45 years has gone on to be with God. This is one of the memories I have the times we watched it together as each timeas if it was our first. I am 72 now and memories of her hold me together.

An under-rated classic! Everything about this movie is great: the music is amazing, the cinematography outstanding, and Tom Selleck and Bess Armstrong deliver solid and engaging performances.

This movie is fantastic. It might be a little dated by today's standards, but who really cares. I loved this movie as a kid and now I can finally see it again! I waited a long time for it to be released on DVD. Great film!!

Saw this years ago and loved it. Found it on Netflix and it was always a long wait. Found it here and bought it and will enjoy watching it.

This is an older movie but still pretty good. I remembered it from years ago and decided to purchase the DVD. Of course, Tom Selleck is younger and handsome so that doesn't hurt. Cute movie.

This is an older Tom Sellak movie, but is a fun and entertaining one.

Good family show, but does have a few curse words.

Don't buy it. You will be disapointed. I think some of the flying scenes were left out, could be wrong. I have old DVD's that have better quality.

My husband has always wanted to add this film to his collection!

This is my husbands favorite movie. Was so glad it finally came out in dvd.

Great movie a classic now, right there with casablanca.
