High School High on Blu-ray!

(David Zucker) and "Police Academy" (Pat Proft) join forces to skewer the inner-city school genre. Master thespian Jon Lovitz garners some laughs as the Idealistic Teacher, with a good-natured assist from Tia Carrere and Louise Fletcher. Strangely enough, "High School High" (1996) emphasizes a clichéd storyline over rapid-fire humor — resulting in less hilarity than one would expect. Cinematic spoofery of this nature cries out for everything but the kitchen sink. It's not a spectacular release, and does not contain any extras, other than a trailer but the film is pure 1990s gold.

great goofy movie
